1 ILRR Overview The Vision for the Integrated Land and Resource Registry Project is to create

ldquoa spatially enabled efficient and accessible electronic register of all legal interests in Crown and private land and resources which serves the business needs of a diversity of users and clientsrdquo

The challenge in British Columbia is to effectively manage 95 million hectares (235 million acres) of land and water on behalf of all British Columbians There are numerous information systems managed by dozens of agencies with difficult access to information and limited information sharing There is duplicate data entry numerous versions of data created by individual agencies to meet their own needs and there is no spatial information for the location of private land

grids and base maps There are over 260 interests on land from 19 partner agencies across four ministries The ILRR became the legal register of Crown land rights and interests on June 19 2007 This is due in part to the partnerships created leading to improved data quality The ILRR was created through consultation with users like you ILRR staff continues to listen to the business needs of users and the ILRR evolves as a result

12 About the ILRR The Integrated Land and Resource Registry (ILRR) is a spatially enabled comprehensive register of legal interests rights designations and administrative boundaries on Crown land It also has information on land and resource restrictions and reservations (ie Parks) and locations of private land where data is available This service provides

bull Web based single legal register of rights and interests on Crown land

bull Information on private land and related land use and base map information Caution Pop-up blockers should be turned off when using the ILRR as many functions open in new browser windows

25 Getting Help in the ILRR In each ILRR window the user can select the button to open the ILRR web help (shown below) to get help for the specified screen

The figure above is an example of the context based help available when using the ILRR application


3 Security Access

31 Pop-Up Blockers Pop-up blockers should be turned off when using the ILRR as many functions open in new browser windows

Users can turn off the Pop-up Blocker at the bottom of the screen by clicking the Pop-up

32 Security Access Groups and Access Levels Security in the ILRR is broken down into User Access Groups and Access Levels User Access Groups Basic BCeID (Guest) user

bull Limited to only the Map Inquiry bull Web Basic Training bull No reporting

Business BCeID user bull Will not display Interest Holder contact information if the Interest Holder type is

lsquoIndividualrsquo


IDIR user (Government user)

bull No limitations Security is based on

bull Interest type ndash Archaeology information is restricted ndash all users must apply for access to view this information using the Change to Access Form (noted at the bottom of the page)

bull Interest status ndash Most information as requested and Petroleum restricted bull User access group

There are four different security access levels for Business BCeID and IDIR users

bull Full ndash Can see all shapes and attributes for restricted data bull Existence ndash Can see partial shapes and attributes for restricted data bull Notice ndash Receive notice that an interest exists but are given no details about the

interest bull None - User may not access any of the recordrsquos attributes The record does not

appear on any reports accessed by the user Full Access User is able to access all attributes of the interest record (Geometry Agency Type and Content) except where attribute restrictions exist from interest granting agency or legislation Existence User is able to view the Interestrsquos Geometry Issuing Agency Responsible Agency Business Identifier Interest Status and Interest Type but may NOT access other record attributes (such as information found in the detailed report) Notice User receives a notification that a specific Interest Granting Agency may have an interest that matches the userrsquos query parameters and provides Interest Granting Agency contact information The user may not access any additional attributes of the record (canrsquot see summary or detailed report)

4 ILRR Main Menu The ILRR Main Menu is the starting point for users when searching for legal interests rights designations and administrative boundaries on Crown land in the Province of British Columbia From the ILRR Main Menu users can select one of the options

When working in the ILRR application the left side of the page always displays your ILRR menu functions These options allow the user to jump to the different functions of accessing ILRR information or allow the user to return to the ILRR Main Menu

Throughout the users ILRR session the user can jump to any main menu function by selecting the function on the ILRR sidebar

5 Map Inquiry The Map Inquiry function utilizes the Map Viewer to determine existing rights and interests for a specific location It will also show you visually if there are any pending interests or restrictions

bull The Map Viewer is an interactive mapping tool that allows

ndash The viewing and selection of an area of interest (for Business BCeID and Government IDIR users)

ndash The display of resource information of interest on a base map of the selected area

ndash The querying of the resource information using the Identify tool

ndash The printing and storing of the map and e-mailing of it to others

bull The area of interest cannot exceed 100000 hectares (1000 sq km) unless the user is using the Custom Status option to further refine the results

The Compass Help System is available by clicking the tool within your ILRR Map Viewer The Compass Help System will display

Descriptions and Help with Tabs and Tools currently displayed in your ILRR Map Viewer


51 Map Inquiry Size Restrictions If you are trying to run a report on an area of interest greater than 100000 hectares (greater than 1000 sq km) you will receive an error message You will need to reduce your Area of Interest (AOI) size in Map Viewer or run the report using the Custom Status Query from the ILRR Main Menu and set your query parameters there Be sure to review the Query Validation Criteria and the Parameter Validation Criteria found in Appendix B- Query Validation Criteria Today in order to successfully run your query

52 Creating an Area of Interest (AOI) An AOI is used to define an area that will be used as a spatial reference for the query

Only Business BCeID and Government IDIR users may use the T tool to define an AOI for a query

There are two methods for creating an AOI in the ILRR Map Viewer

1 Draw an AOI

2 Pick an Existing Polygon for AOI (includes uploaded shapefiles)

521 Drawing an AOI

To Draw an AOI use the following method

1 Click the Draw AOI tool

2 Click to add each vertex for the AOI polygon

3 When complete click OK in the Add AOI Polygon window

4 Click the button to submit the drawn boundary

If you click the button before clicking OK in the AOI Polygon window you will be dropped from your current Map

Viewer session without the AOI location parameter having been set You will have to start over to establish your AOI location

522 Pick an Existing Polygon for AOI

To Pick an Existing Polygon for AOI use the following method

1 Click the Pick an Existing Polygon for AOI tool

2 Click on the polygon you wish to use from the map window

3 In the AOI Select Polygon from layer window select the layer you wish to use from the pick list and click OK


If you want to select features from a layer not visible on the map the user will need to first make the layer visible in the Layers tab

If the user wants to delete a drawn or selected AOI the user can

click the Erase AOI tool and click on the feature to be deleted


(or click and drag a box around several AOI features)

53 Defining Spatial Relationships Defining a spatial relationship and a buffer helps to identify other interest records that may intersect adjoin or be contained by your selected AOI

bull Intersect is when two or more interest records geometry overlap each other

bull Adjoin is when the geometry of the interest record does not intersect with but is immediately next to the geometry parameter

bull Contains is when interests are completely contained within the boundaries of the defined interest record geometry of your specified location

bull The Buffer defines how wide (in meters) an additional area will be that surrounds the area that you define and is included in your query area

bull The default Buffer value is 0 and can not to exceed 10000

54 Defining the Display Options Defining the Display Options screen is used to define your report output criteria

bull The user can set the order that the results are sorted by selecting any of the options

bull Set what file identifiers are displayed for the results

bull A Report Description can be entered to display on all Screen (only when printing the report) File and Batch reports (excluding CSV file format)

bull Set the Output Format to Screen File or Batch

ndash Screen Reports

Output is your computer monitor

Summary or Detail reports available


Reports are restricted to a maximum of 199 records

ndash File Reports

Output is as a document (available in CSV PDF or RTF formats)

Summary Reports (see Summary Reports) or Detail Report (see Detail Reports) are available

Reports results are restricted to a maximum of 199 records

ndash Batch Reports

Output can be displayed as a document accessed by an emailed link (available in CSV PDF or RTF formats)

55 Customizing the ILRR Map Viewer The ILRR map viewer can be customized to create a specific ldquoviewrdquo that the user can create save or print an ILRR map

bull In the ILRR Map Viewer users can zoom to an area of interest using the

navigation tools Zoom In Zoom Out Pan or Zoom Previous

bull Make the desired layers visible by putting a check to the left of each layer in the

tab and click the tab

ndash Most of the layers are only visible at a scale less than 300000 Rolling over the sign to the left of the layer name will confirm what scale the layer is visible at

bull Many layer symbologies can be customized in the tab by clicking the

Change Symbols tool to the right of the layer

ndash You can change the layer symbology and label symbolize by attribute or restore the default symbology

bull View the Map Legend Settings by clicking the tab and then clicking Settings Users can check all layers that you want to display in the legend

bull Click the Save Session to Client tool Click Save session now and then click Save Navigate to the appropriate folder where you wish to save your session

The saved session can be opened at a later date to return to the same location with the same settings (layers AOIs markups etc)

To open a saved session in the Map Viewer click the Open Session tool Click Browse then navigate to the folder where the


saved session is stored Select the file and click OK Click Open Session

56 Printing a Map

Use the Print to PDF tool to create a PDF map that you can either print or save to a file To Print to PDF

1 Zoom to the extent on the map you wish to print using the navigational tools

2 Optionally add any markup to the map that may be relevant to your image

3 Click the Print PDF tool In the Information Panel a list of options will be displayed

4 Select the Template from the drop-down menu

5 Select the Scale from the second drop-down menu

6 Enter a Title for the map in the textbox

7 Optionally add any notes that you wish to be included on the map

8 Click OK It may take a few minutes for the map to load

9 Click the [ open map ] link to open your PDF map

10 Here you can either save the PDF or print the PDF

57 Uploading a Shapefile

Use the Upload Shapefile tool to use shapefiles created in other mapping programs as a layer in the ILRR Map Viewer


Uploaded Shapefiles must have a BC Albers Projection to be imported into the ILRR Map Viewer The parameters are as

follows

- Central meridian 1260000 West longitude

- First Standard Parallel 500000 North latitude

- Second Standard Parallel 583000 North latitude

- Latitude of projection origin 450000 North latitude

- False northing 00

- False easting 10000000 (one million meters) To upload a shapefile

1 Click the Upload Shapefile tool

2 Under Shapefile Attribute File (dbf) click Browse Navigate to the folder where the shapefile dbf file is stored select the file and click OK

3 Under Shapefile Spatial File (shp) click Browse Navigate to the folder where the shapefile shp file is stored select the file and click OK

4 Enter a name for the layer which will be displayed in the layer list

5 Select the symbol colour from the drop-down menu

6 Choose the position where your shapefile will be displayed in the layer list

7 Click OK to upload the shapefile as a layer

Users are required to navigate and zoom to your uploaded layers location using either the standard navigation tools or using the Zoom to Uploaded

Shapefile tool (described in the next section)The shapefile will be the colour that you selected (default is red)

58 Zoom to Uploaded Shapefile The easiest method of navigating to an uploaded shapefile is to use the Zoom to

Uploaded Shapefile tool This tool allows the user to select a shapefile that has been uploaded and then be zoomed to the spatial extent of the shapefile in the Map Viewer To use the Zoom to Uploaded Shapefile tool

1 Upload a shapefile using the Upload Shapefile tool (see previous section)

2 Click the Zoom to Uploaded Shapefile tool

3 In the Map Viewer sidebar choose the uploaded shapefile name from the Layer Name pick list Click OK

Only uploaded shapefiles will be displayed in the Layer Name pick list Other layers can not be zoomed to using this function If no shapefile has

been uploaded the Layer Name pick list will be empty

4 The map will zoom to the extent of the uploaded shapefile


6 Summary Report The power of the ILRR is its ability to provide the user with a variety of reports The summary report screen displays a high level summary of interest records that result from the query that was created (through Map Inquiry Query Interest Record Survey Parcel Search or Custom Status) The records displayed here are reflective of the display options selected and the data access level your user ID is allowed

bull Summary Report is restricted to a maximum of 199 interest records for a screen or file return or 1999 for a batch return

bull The ILRR Interest Identifier hyperlink will navigate to the Detail Report for that record

bull The Create Status Report and the Create Overlay Report can be performed on a selected ILRR Interest Identifier

bull Selected ILRR Interest Identifier(s) can be displayed with the Map Viewer if there is spatial information available by checking the select box for the record and clicking the button

bull Selected ILRR Interest Identifier(s) can be displayed as a Conflicting Interest with the user created AOI to determine the amount of overlap between the features by

clicking the tool

bull Large interests are identified with the display of the icon The map viewer scale at the bottom of the Map Viewer must be set to 1300000 to view a large interest The complete interest will not be displayed


Interests that do not have associated spatial data cannot be viewed in Map Viewer or selected to create a status report

The default screen includes ILRR Interest Identifier Issuing Agency Business Identifier Status Type and Responsible Agency These columns can be sorted the user can also create a status report of a record (query the interests that intersect this particular record) view the spatial extent for the record or look at a Detailed Report for a record

There are certain records where the details may be restricted these are shown with a yellow background limited information and no access to the detailed report or spatial information is provided unless appropriate authorization levels are assigned to the user Some sensitive data does not get included such as reserves and requested including petroleum sites Business BCeID and IDIR users can request a higher level of security to view these reports by completing a Change User Access Form Forms are available from the GeoBC Service Desk at httpgeobcgovbccailrrfilesdocumentationILRR_Change_to_User_Access_Formpdf

61 Detailed Report The Detailed Report shows more information about a particular record including Interest Holder Location Area Dates and related Business Keys It is accessed when an Interest is selected by clicking the hyperlink in the Summary Report


From the Detailed Report screen users can

bull View the spatial record in Map Viewer if spatial data is available

bull Create a Status Report using the current record as the AOI

bull Create an Overlay Report using the current record as the AOI

bull Access GATOR (GATOR subscription required for non-government users)

62 Map Viewer From the Detailed Report or Summary Report screen choose the Map Viewer link to display your results

bull The map zooms to the extent that allows viewing of your selected feature


For large interests you may not be able to see the extent of the feature as the size of the feature extends beyond the layer visible

scale and will be used to zoom in and pan to see the interest area coverage

63 Create Status Report From the Detailed Report or Summary Report users can create a status report for a particular interest to determine what effect if any other interests have on your selected interest

bull This function will act as if you selected the feature as an AOI in the Map Inquiry function Once selected you will be prompted to define a spatial relationship and a buffer and then to set the Display Options

64 Create Overlay Report Using a selected interest the ILRR Overlay Report allows the user from the Detailed Report or Summary Report to search through the layers of the spatial data available from LRDW and report information about the feature records that spatially overlap with the selected interest

bull The user can select as many SOE layers as desired that will be searched to see if they overlap the area of the selected interest

bull The Overlay Report will list the Report Details (Name Date Shape name and buffer size) the intersecting features sorted by layer the Layers Queried Successfully and the Overlay Disclaimer

65 Display Conflicting Interests From the Summary Report users can create a Conflicting Interests Report for a particular interest to determine what effect if any the Area of Interest (AOI) the user has defined overlaps a selected interest

The conflicting interest function will only work with the screen output format This means you are limited to less than 199 registered interests in your status query report


If there is no box and it says lsquono spatialrsquo you will not be able to utilize the conflicting interest display with that selected interest

Once the Conflicting Interests option is selected the conflicting interests will be displayed in the Map Viewer In the map display you can determine the degree of intersection between the AOI and the selected interest

bull The Map Viewer will show the user defined Area of Interest (AOI) as red where it does not intersect with the selected interest and the selected interest area as yellow

bull Where the user defined Area of Interest (AOI) and the area of the selected interest do intersect is displayed in orange

Example 1 In the example below the AOI and the selected interest partially overlap The Area of Interest is shown in red and the selected interest is shown in yellow Where the AOI and the selected interest overlap is shown as orange


Example 2 In the example below the AOI and the selected interest do not overlap therefore there is no orange area This is possible when using an AOI buffer and the interest falls within the buffer of the AOI or if the lsquoadjoinrsquo function is selected as the spatial relationship for the status query instead of intersect

66 GATOR Users with access to GATOR can click the GATOR link for information on the selected record GATOR is an acronym for Government AccessTool for On-line Retrieval It is an easy to use tool that allows registered users access to the Internet to interactively

7 Query Interest Record The Query Interest Record allows you to locate a specific interest record using non-spatial attribute data like the ILRR Identifier the Agency Record Identifier (or business key) including unique business identifier or business key for an interest

The results of a successful query of an interest record will provide a report (summary and detailed) on your specific record and allow you to view the spatial extent You could then also run a status to determine what other rights and interests intersect with or overlap your record The information can be used to support decisions on the best use of the land identify potential land use conflicts and constraints support the referral process determine whether rights can be issued and identify where restrictions are needed

A unique identifier is assigned to the interest record by the issuing agencys operational database If you choose to search by this parameter you will follow these steps

bull Search by Agency Record Identifier

bull Select the Interest Group radio button

bull Select the Agency Record Identifier radio button and enter the record identifier value

bull Data entered is case sensitive A unique number is assigned to the record when the record is added to the ILRR database If you choose to search by this parameter enter the ILRR Interest Identifier in the appropriate space ldquoILRR Interest Identifierrdquo


Above are the two options in the Query Interest Record The image on the left uses the Agency Record value search (for the Disposition Transaction SID in the image) The image on the left uses the ILRR Interest Identifier value Both of these values will return the same record

8 Survey Parcel Search The ILRR provide users the opportunity to do a quick search by survey parcel using PID PIN Title Number or legal description

Any part of a legal description can be entered into the search screen depending on the accuracy of the input you will receive an equally accurate output


The Plan number of a legal description can be entered into the Defining Document section of the Survey Parcel Search window

The output from a survey parcel search will provide the user with immediate determination of privatepublic land (with the information available) the primary PIN and the LTO PID if available The parcel can also be viewed spatially using the map viewer

9 Custom Status Query The Custom Status allows you to build a query using seven different parameters You can complete one or more of the parameters to fine-tune your query and result set

bull Parameters can be set by selecting the desired parameter type from the ILRR sidebar under Custom Status


bull Parameters that have been selected can be returned to the default parameters by clicking the Reset button for that parameter type

91 Interest Type The Interest Type parameter allows you to select which interests to include in your query You can select any or all of the 262 different interest types which are grouped according to type IE Forest Roads Land Act Inclusions Land Act Crown Grants Park Designations etc

bull At least ONE Interest Type must be selected

bull The Interest Group Categories reflect the naming of the layers in the ILRR Map Viewer

94 Term or Other Dates The Term or Other Dates parameter allows you to further refine which interests will be returned in your query There are four date types to choose from

bull Requested Date ndash Date of request

bull Term Start Date ndash Date interest starts

bull Term End Date ndash Date interest ends

bull Interest Date ndash Date interest was filed with agency

Users can choose any combination of these dates to refine their search

If the request date interest date term start date or the term end date does not contain a date within ILRR for an interest the interest may not

appear on the results list depending on how you have defined the Term Other Dates parameter (ie the termother dates parameter is designed to return interest based on the interest date interests that do not have an interest date will not be returned)


95 Interest Holder Since contact information may be protected under the privacy provisions of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act your ability to use this functionality or to view the information may be limited by your level of access security parameters You can search by organization name or individualpartner name The ILRR search engine will add a wildcard at the end of the text you enter You can enter the entire name eg Smith or the first part of the name eg Smi You can also use the wildcard () anywhere in your search text eg mi will return Smith Inc 100 Mile House etc

The interest holder and contact information are taken directly from the responsible agencies computer system and therefore differences in how

the various agencies captures and maintains the information (eg BC Ferries BC Ferries BC Ferries Inc) could affect your search results

bull New Search returns you to the Interest Holder screen


bull If you have selected Interest Agency Interest Holders are filtered

bull Selecting the Interest Holder Name hyperlink will display the Interest Holder Detail information

96 Interest Status The Interest Status parameter allows you to select which statuses to include in the query There are four status types included in the ILRR

bull Request ndash application or request has been accepted by an agency - decision pending

bull Active ndash rightinterest has been granted and is in good standing

bull Inactive ndash the right is no longer active and can not return to active status

bull Suspended ndash action taken by interest granting agency that suspends revokes or restricts action or rights of interest holder It may also mean that the term has expired The interest holder however has a period of time in which to reinstate the right

bull Users can click the Clear All button to unselect all statuses or click Select All to select all statuses

97 Interest Size The Interest Size parameter allows you to search for interest records of a particular size


98 Custom Query Validation Rules (See Appendix B) For queries using a location type of PID PIN or Map Viewer

bull The AOI must be 5000000 hectares or less in size

ndash Additionally if the AOI is greater than 1000000 hectares in size an Interest Holder is must be defined

99 Saving a Query It is important to note that before saving a query you should make sure that your parameters are valid and the query does not generate errors The best way to do this is to run the query When you are satisfied that the query works and generates the results you want to save close or minimize your results window and click on the ldquoSave Queryrdquo button in the Custom Status Parameter Summary window At this time you can also save the query to other users by inputting their user ID

bull Saving a query saves the query parameters of a Custom Status Query or an Interest Query NOT the results

bull Entering the query parameters as part of the description is advised

bull The query description will be displayed on the Summary and Detail Reports when printing a screen or output format is file (excluding CSV)

bull The query can be shared with others


10 My Queries and Notifications The My Queries and Notifications area of the ILRR provides the user the opportunity to modify copy or delete a previously saved query and to create modify and cancel a notification It is important to note that when saving a query you are saving query parameters not results This means that when the interest data changes in the ILRR the results of your saved query may change as well To save query results have them reported as a document file or sent as a batch report by email and then save the document after following the link in the email notice To be alerted when something has changed within your AOI create a notification for the saved query Notifications are based on saved queries ndash if any updates or inserts occur within the AOI defined by the query the associated notifications are automatically sent

101 Viewing Query Details bull Select the query Name hyperlink

bull Displays the query details

bull Displays notification details when available


102 Copying a Query bull The Copy Query function allows you to copy the parameters of a saved query

bull You can copy any query in the query list

bull You cannot change the parameters when performing a copy of a query

103 Modifying a Query bull The modify query function is only for queries that you have created If you want

to modify a query that was created by another user you must copy it first then modify it

bull Performing the modify function will navigate to either

ndash Query Interest Record Search Parameters screen

ndash Custom Status Parameter Summary screen

bull There are two areas of the query that can be modified

ndash Query parameters

ndash Query characteristics (query name query description query users)

bull If you have do not save the modifications the output using the Batch function will be derived from your original query parameters not the modified query

104 Deleting a Query bull The delete query function will delete or remove a query from the query list


bull When the current user is the creator of the query the query will be permanently deleted from

ndash your query list

ndash the query list of other users that had access to this query

bull When the current user is the creator of the query the query will be removed from the query list Other users of this query will still have access to the query

105 Creating a Notification If you want to be alerted when something has changed within a saved query result set you can create a notification for the query that generates the results

Before a notification can be created 3 conditions must be met

1 The query must have been run

2 The query cannot have an existing notification

3 The query cannot exceed maximum run time If these conditions are met a notification can be created for a query Once created the user will receive a notification of a change when

1 A new request or interest record is added

2 There is a change in state of an existing request or interest record

3 There is a change in geometry A Maximum threshold has been set so that you will only receive a notification if the change to the geometry area is greater than 5 or more than 1 hectare or if a point moves more than one meter By choosing the ldquoCreate Notificationrdquo link the user can input any number of email addresses that he wishes to be notified when a change has occurred These can be on the daily weekly monthly or yearly basis


106 Cancelling a Notification bull The Cancel Notification functions allows you to cancel a notification for a saved

query

bull To Cancel Notifications from queries that belong to another user the query owner must be contacted

bull Only the creator of the query can cancel the notification

107 Receiving a Notification bull The user will receive a notification of change when one or more of the following

conditions are met

ndash New request or interest record is added


ndash Change in state of an existing request or interest record occurs (status is changed)

ndash Change in geometry for an interest

bull Polygons The total area has changed more than 5 or more than 1 hectare

bull Lines The total area of the buffer shape polygon has changed more than 5 or more than 1 hectare

bull Points The point has moved a distance greater than 1 metre in any direction


11 Public Report The public report provides clients access to a single comprehensive report that utilizes the same cut of data used internally in a format that conforms to the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy standards The reports allow a public user to generate a conflict andor constraint report based on an ILRR interest location area of interest or Geomark URL Select your report option Define search location Review Report


12 Business Report The Business Reports in the ILRR are business specific reports that have been created for specific work flows Currently there is only one Business Report Mineral Titles - Land Owner Notification

121 Mineral Titles ndash Land Owner Notification Part of the requirement of the mineral tenure holders is notification Bill 12 of the Miscellaneous Statutes Amendment Act 2007 now requires a person to serve notice on the private landowner(s) or Crown land lease holder(s) before commencing a mining activity Within the ILRR Business Reports is the Mineral Titles ndash Land Owner Notification report This report allows the tenure holder to input their tenure number or to select an area of interest and then view the Land Owner Notification report as a PDF

bull The user can select to create a Land Owner Notification report by either entering a Mineral Tenure Number (ie 383281) or by selecting an Area of Interest (AOI) and define an AOI in the Map Viewer using the Area of Interest tools

bull The Land Owner Notification results will be displayed in a PDF report There are four sections to the report the General Information section the Crown land lease section the private land within the AOI section and the private land possibly within the AOI section These are explained in more detail below

ndash The General Information section has the name of the report the date it was

run and the search information The search information indicates whether a user-selected AOI or a Mineral Tenure Number was used to define the geographic extent for the report


ndash The Crown Land Lease section lists all of the Crown land leases which intersecttouchcome in contact withoverlap the AOI along with the ownerrsquos name and address If a lease has multiple owners each owner and their address would be listed The first owner would be labelled Record 1 the second owner would be Record 2 etc If no leases were found the report would say ldquoNone foundrdquo

ndash The Private Lands Within Area of Interest section lists the private land parcels which are completely or partially within or overlap the AOI The Land Title Parcel Identifier (PID) and legal description are listed for each parcel Ownership information for private land is not part of the ILRR so contact information will need to be acquired using BC Online httpswwwbconlinegovbcca

ndash The Private Land Possibly Within the Area of Interest section lists the private land parcels which are possibly within or overlap the AOI The Land Title Parcel Identifier (PID) and legal description are listed for each parcel Ownership information for private land is not part of the ILRR so contact information will need to be acquired using BC Online


1211 Determining Ownership of a Parcel

There are a few options for determining the ownership information of a private parcel If you have a BC Online account you can look up this information in the BC Assessment Authority or Land Title and Survey Authority systems
