• The World Tourism Organization (WTO) forecasts that tourism will

continue growing at the average rate of 4.4%

•By 2020 Europe will remain the most popular destinations; but its share

will drop to 46%

•Space tourism is expected to “take off” in the first quarter of the 21st 

century; however number of tourists will remain limited.

•Technological improvement is likely to make possible air-ship hotels,
