• description of the device – to include microliters, use of the device, etc.
• students practice on a 2µl, 8µl, 14µl, 20µl grid [forward and reverse]
- 2 grids + 2 Micropipete/table [SAM solution]
• enrichment: add 2µl SAM to a 20µl drop of “clear” – just to see what happens
* “clear” = 20% Glycerin solution

1. Micropipet Practice Continued
• transfer technique: one micro-test tube to another including flushing
- starting with rxn tube with 14µl “clear”: add 2µl SAM, flush, add 4µl SAM, flush
- each student prepare a tube
2. Practice Gel Loading
• each student loads at least 2 wells from their practice rxn tube (loading volume = 15µl)
• run these 0.8% Agarose gels at 200V
