INTRODUCTION

CHECK FOR SHIPPING DAMAGE

Thismanualcontainsinstructionsforinstallation,operationandgeneralmaintenanceof yourunit. It also includes a TroubleshootingChart todiagnoseproblemsalongwithcorrectiveactions.

Prior to leaving the factory, each cabinet is throughly inspected andperformancetestedupto12hourstoassureproperoperatingtemperatures.

Check the crate thoroughly for signs of shipping damage. If externaldamageexists,internaldamageisalsoprobable.Uncratingshouldbedonewhilethecarrier´srepresentativeispresent.Otherwise,theequipmentshouldbeuncratedassoonaspossible,preferablywithinfive(5)days.

Themanufacturer is not responsible for in-transit damage and theconsigneemustfileanyrequireddamageclaimsdirectlywiththecarrier.

Ifthedamageissevereandobvious,writeabriefdescriptionoftheevidenceonthecarrier’sdelivery receipt,andabovethecarrier representative’ssignature.Callthedistributorordealerimmediately,indicatingthatthecabinetwasdamaged.

Ifnoobviouscratedamageispresent,withintwohoursofreceivingthecabinetfromthecarrier,removethepackagingtoinspectforconcealeddamage.

1. If concealeddamage is found, call thecarrier immediately,save all crating materials,andfilethenecessaryfreightclaimwiththecarrier.

WHERE TO LOCATE THE CABINET1.Placethecabinetonasurfacesolidenoughtopreventvibrationandstrongenoughtosupportthecombinedweightof thecabinetandtheproduct load.Quickguideline:Estimate35poundspercubicfootofstoragespace.

2. Cabinetsshouldneverbeplaced in frontofwindowsorglassdoorswheresunlightwillbeindirectcontactwiththeunits.Ifacabinetislocatednearawindoworglassdoor,provideanadequateshadetoblockthesun´srays.

3. Ambient temperaturemust be between 59°F and 86°F. Low ambienttemperaturesbelow50°Fareasharmfulashighambienttemperatures.Extremetemperatureswilldefinitelyaffecttheperformanceofthecabinet.

4.Failuretoproperlylevelthecabinetcouldhinderproperdrainageanddooroperation.Ifthefloorisextremelyuneven,shimthecornerswiththinsheetsofmetal(mayalsobeusedwhenoptionalcastershavebeenincluded).Levelinglegsareprovidedwiththecabinets.Levelthecabinetbyusingtheadjustableportionofthelevelinglegsasneeded.Onpage#8youwillfindinstructionsonhowtoinstallthelevelinglegs.

5.Clearance:Leaveaspaceofatleast8”betweenthebackofthecabinetandthewalltoprovideadequateaircirculationoftheunitcompartment.

REMOVE THE CRATE AND SKID

To install the legs:

Heavydutylevelinglegsareprovidedwithsomemodelssothecabinetmaybeleveledaccuratelyandtoallowroomtocleanbeneaththecabinet.Tiltthecabinetbackjustfarenoughtofitthefrontlegsandplaceablockofwoodorsomesimilarsupportunderituntilbothfrontlegsarein.Thentiltthecabinetforwardenoughtoinstalltherearlegs.

Afterthelegsareintalled,levelthecabinetbyusingtheadjustableportionofthelegsasneeded.Thisisveryimportanttoinsureproperdraininganddooroperation.

To install casters:Casters are suppliedasoptionalequipment. To install the casters, follow thedirectionsforinstallinglegs.

1. Remove the external packaging(corrugatedboardandplasticwrappings).Check for concealed damage. If anydamageisidentified,immediatelyforwardacomplainttothetransportationcompany.

2.Movethecoolertheclosestpossibletoitsfinallocation,beforeremovingtheskid.

3.Usingascrewdriverremovethescrewsthatfix the skid to the cooler, ormetalsupportsifapplicable.

Allunitscomeequippedwithnon-electricevaporatorpanslocatedinthebottomofthecabinetinthecondensingunitcompartment.Noadditionalplumbinginstallationisrequired.

Eachunit requires a dedicated circuit to preventmalfunctionof thecompressorandtheelectricalcomponents.Eachunitshouldbeconnectedto itsowncircuit inaccordancewithNationalElectricCodesand localordinances.

START UP THE CABINET1.Shelvesandshelfclips(4clipspershelf)arepackedinsidethecabinetprior to shipment. After selectingthe appropriate spacing inside thecabinet,installshelfclipsbyinsertingtopofclipinsidethepilasterandthenpress the lower sectionof the clipwhilepushinginwardsuntilitsnapsintoplace.Repeatuntilall clipsareindesired location. Place shelf onclipscheckingthatallfourcornersofshelvesareleveledandsupportedbythefourshelfclips.

b.Use aPhilips screwdriver tosecurethe4screwsthatwillholdthefrontgrilltothecabinet.

CONNECTION OF YOUR COOLER OR FREEZER TO THE ELECTRICAL SUPPLY1.Plug in theelectrical cordof theunit toawalloutlet, following therecommendationsaboutelectricalinstallationinthismanual.2.Letthecoolerorfreezerrunwithnoproductloadfor2hours,orletthecompressorcompletethreeon/offcyclestoassurethatthetemperatureinside is appropriate for the products, before loading them into therefrigerator.Thetemperatureofacoolershouldbebetween36°Fto41°F(2°Cand5°C)Thetemperatureofafreezershouldbebetween14°Fto-10°F(-10and-23°C)ThetemperatureofaFROSTERunitshouldbeunder32°F(0°C)

USE OF YOUR COOLER OR FREEZER WITH MECHANICAL THERMOSTAT

Thepositionoftheknobforanappropriatecooling temperature, under normalconditions,isfactorypreset.To increase cooling,move the knob to ahighernumber.Todecrease cooling,move the knob toalowernumber.

USE OF YOUR COOLER WITH CAREL ELECTRONIC THERMOSTAT

FOGELcoolersareprovidedwithaversatileelectronic thermostat thatallowstocooldifferentbeverages,withtemperaturesdownto40°F(4°C),dependingonthemodel.

To turn off the lights of thecooler press the light bulbsymbol.

IN ORDER TO LEAVE THE ENERGY SAVING MODE, YOU ONLY NEED TO OPEN THE COOLER DOOR OR GENTLY

PRESS THE “ES” BUTTON FOR 5 SECONDS.

Thisunithasacontrollertoreduceenergyconsumption.Whenitdetectsthatthedoorhasnotbeenopenedformorethan3hours,thelightswillgooff (if applicable) and the coolerwill goautomatically into “energysavingmode”byslightlyincreasingitsinneroperatingtemperature.Inthismanner,whileyourbusinessisclosed,youwillsaveapproximatelyupto40%inenergyconsumption.

*MANUAL ACTIVATION OF THE ENERGY SAVING MODE

Whenclosingourbusiness,pressgentlythe“ES”buttonfor5secondsuntilthewordECOisdisplayed,whichconfirmsthattheenergysavingmodehasbeenactivated.

Onceactivated,thelightswillgooff(ifapplicable)andthewordECOwillremainonthedisplay.

AFTER OPERATING FOR 8 HOURS IN THE ENERGY SAVING MODE, THIS DEVICE WILL RETURN TO THE

STANDARD OPERATING TEMPERATURE.

ENERGY SAVING DEVICE. This unit is equippedwith an electronic device that reduces energyconsumption.Ifthedoorremainsclosedforthreehours,thelightsshutoffand the refrigeratorautomaticallygoes into “EnergySavingMode”,slightlyincreasingtheinternaltemperature.Thismodeallowsyoutosaveapproximatelyupto40%inenergyconsumptionwhilethelocaleisclosed.

NOTE: This function can be modified or eliminated according to the requirements to factory.

MANUALLY ACTIVATING THE ENERGY SAVING MODE.

Whenclosing the locale, lightlypresstheECObuttononthedigitalscreenforthreesecondsuntilyouhearabeepingsound confirming that the energysavingmodeisactivated.

When the ECO feature is activated,thelightsshutoffandyouwillseethegreen ECO light illuminated on thedigitaldisplay.

TO EXIT THE ENERGY SAVING MODE, SIMPLY OPEN THE DOOR OR PRESS THE ECO BUTTON FOR THREE SECONDS.

IF YOU UNPLUG THIS UNIT, YOU WILL LOSE THE ENERGY SAVINGS.

DRAINAGE SYSTEM FOR HORIZONTAL COOLERS

EVAPORATOR DRAINAGE SYSTEM:

Allhorizontalcoolershaveadrainpantoreceivethewaterfromthedefrostcyclesoftheevaporator,locatedunderthecondensingunit.Itisnecessarytoremovethisdrainpanwhenclosetobefull,toavoidwaterspillontheflooroftheshop.Toremovethedrainpan,firstremovethefrontgrillandthenpullthedrainpanoutslidingitoveritsrail.

Makesurethatthedrainhoseiscorrectlydirectedtowardsthedrainpan,otherwisethewatermaygotothefloorofyourstore.

INTERNAL DRAINAGE SYSTEM:

Yourhorizontalcoolerhasalsoadrainlocatedintheinnerbottomfloorofthecabinet.Whencleaningtheinteriorofyourcooler,makesuretoremovethecapofthenozzlelocatedontheexteriorlowersectionofthecabinet.Itisrecommendedtoplaceawatercollectingpanunderthenozzleontheexterior,whencleaningtheinside.

CLEANING AND PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE

Yourunit requires very littlemaintenance.However,periodic cleaningcanhelpprolongproductlife.Remembertodisconnectthepowersourcebeforecleaning.Removeallproductsandplacetheminanothercooler.

1.Cleanonceamonththecondenserwithagreaseremover.Thecondenserislocatedinthelowerpartofyourunit,behinddegrill.

* This does not apply to zeromaintenance condenser. This type ofcondenserhasnofins.

2.Thecoldplatefreezersrequireamonthlydefrosttoeliminatetheexcessiceand frost thataccumulateson them.For thatpurpose, remove theproductfromthefreezerandunplugtheunitfromthepowersupply.Leavethedoorsopentohelpthedefrostingprocess.Donothitthecoldplatesortrytouseanytooltoremovetheice.Oncetheicehasmelted,cleantheinsideandplugintheunitagain,followingtheinstructionsinthismanual.

3.Cleantheinsideandtheexteriorofyourcooler,includingtheshelves,withamildsoapsolution.Donotusestrongdetergents.Wipedry theinsideofthecoolerbeforeloadingproductagain.

4. Plug in your unit andwait for 2 hours for the temperature to beappropriatetoloadyourproductback.
