1.) First Time Log-in

After clicking the link provided in the “Symphony Password Assistance” email, you should be directed to the following

screen. Create a password that is at least 6 characters long. This is the password you will use to log into the Distributor

Tech Portal of Symphony.

You will receive an email with a link to reset your password. Follow the instructions in this email to create a custom

password for your account. Below is an example of the email you should receive. If you don’t receive an email, contact

customer service at 877-304-8112.

After you have set your password, you can login to symphony.

After agreeing to the terms, a screen will appear with your GeoStar distributor contact information. Review the

Notification Email Address and Notification Cell Phone numbers. If there is a fault notification from a customer’s

equipment these contacts will receive a notification. If you do not want anyone at your distributorship to receive

notifications leave both boxes blank. Once the information is correct click “Register”.

2.) Register as a DistributorOnce logged in, the End-User License Agreement will appear. You will need to agree to the terms before continuing.

This screen will only appear the first time you log in.

3.) Logging in as a DistributorTo log into your Symphony Distributor Portal, go to https://symphony.mygeostar.com and log in using the credentials

you set up in step 1.

4.) Adding Employees to Distributor AccountTo add employees to a distributor account click on the Distributor Account link at the top of the page.

Click the Edit Employees button.

It is recommended that all distributors employees be added using their own access credentials. Input the employees

name, email address and select either “Manager” or “Technician” from the permissions dropdown menu.

Manager - has the ability to add additional managers and technicians.

Technician - does not have the ability to add additional managers and technicians.

The distributor should give symphony access to:

1.) Any employee that will be selling Symphony to customers. This will allow them to assign the AWL device to the

dealers account.

2.) Any technical service person that will be assisting dealers in troubleshooting heat pump or AWL/Symphony

operation. This will give the technical service person access to Symphony data.

Adding Employees to Distributor Account cont.To add multiple employees select the “+”. Once you are done select “save” at the bottom of the screen.

An email will be sent to that email address confirming the account registration. The employee will need to follow the

link in that email (example below) to complete the registration process.

To remove employees select the “-“ on the Edit Employees screen. The screen below will appear, select “Yes, remove

them”.

6.) Adding Dealers to Distributor AccountThe distributor can manually add dealers to the list that shows up when they click the pencil icon. To edit the list of

dealers, click on the Distributor Account link at the top.

On the Distributor Account page, scroll down to the Dealers section. Click the Add Dealer button to add a new dealer.

Notice the required fields. Verify that the Manager Email is correct before pressing save. After entering the Dealer

Information, click the Save button.

Upon saving, the Manager will receive an email with instructions to complete their account setup. They must follow

these instructions to create a custom password for their account.

7.) Editing Existing Dealers in a Distributor AccountClick the Edit Dealer button to edit an existing Dealer. Update the dealer information and then click the Save button.

Click on Tech Portal to return to the Tech Portal.

8.) Assigning an AWL to a DealerOnce login is complete the following screen should be visible. On the example screen below, notice two AWL’s have

been purchased by the distributor but haven’t been transferred to a dealer in the circled section. The next step is to

transfer specific AWL’s to the appropriate dealer. This is a very important step. If the distributor does not assign an

AWL to a specific dealer then a list of every dealer will be displayed at the time they attempt to register the device to a

homeowner. If this happens the installing dealer will need to contact the distributor to assign the device to the correct

dealer. If this is not done, the installing dealer will not have access to the technical data for that unit.

Note: NOTE: Prior to installation, you must assign the specific AWL ID to the appropriate dealer. This will allow the dealer/homeowner to complete their installation correctly.

In the ‘AWLS NOT REGISTERED BUT ASSIGNED TO DEALER’ box, click on the pencil icon to assign a dealer to an AWL.

Assigning an AWL to a Dealer cont.Select the dealer to assign the AWL to from the dropdown list. If you select “Unset Dealer” it will assign the AWL back

to the distributor. The assigned dealer will show up in the Dealer column for distributors

If successful you will see this screen.

Assigning an AWL to a Dealer cont.

The AWL will move to the ONLINE or OFFLINE window when it is registered to a homeowner or connected to the

homeowner’s router. The pencil icon will show up in the Online and Offline tabs as well allowing a distributor to change

dealers after the AWL has been installed, if necessary.

To Logout, select the ‘Logout’ button at the top right of the screen.

Registering the homeowner noteWhen a homeowner registers an AWL, if a dealer has been assigned, then only that dealer will show up in the dealer

dropdown box on the Add Device screen. If the AWL is still assigned to the distributor, then a list of all dealers for that

distributor will show up in the dealer dropdown box.

the dealer recieves with the AWL.
