Hi to All the Great children in 2 nd and 3 rd Class, I hope you are all well and outside enjoying the lovely weather. I know all of this staying at home and learning at home is really strange for you all but it’s just something we all have to do right now to keep people safe. If we do this now we will get to see each other sooner. I’m really missing going to school and seeing all your smiley, friendly faces and having coffee with the teachers too! Evan and I have been busy with lots of activities like writing letters, post cards, baking, painting and lots of exercise. We have also been doing lots of work in the garden. We read together for a short time every day and do some Maths and English and Irish every so often. We have been bringing our dog Buddy for a walk every day too which he really loves. I know too, that many of your parents may be working or working from home and this is why I only set you a small amount of work to do. Remember there is so much you can do on your own- reading, drawing, lego, jig-saws and games on the computer and exercise. Don’t forget to practise your pizza massage on your family and also to find a happy moment in every day! Challenge all your family to this! I ‘m sure too, like us you are all having to speak to your friends and families on the phone or skype or face-time or things like that. It is good to stay in touch and this is just the way for now. On Friday we will have our Easter holidays, so please take a break from school work and enjoy decorating your house with pictures and things for Easter. Maybe you could set up an Easter Egg hunt for your Mum and Dad! As I gave up chocolate for Lent I am counting down the days until Easter Sunday when I can have a BIG Easter egg!! Remember to continue to help your parents and be kind to your brothers and sisters. I will say good-bye for now and I really look forward to seeing you all as soon as we can. Until then stay safe, enjoy your Easter eggs and have a very Happy Easter with your families! Mrs Meredith x
