• Wall glands- System Brattberg & Roxtec
Do not feed a waveguide directly through this kind of wallglands, because of the high pressure to seal it.
If the high fire protection is required we recommend to fill fire protection material into the long steel tube, even the use of protection coating is recommend.
We recommend to put a steel tube into the inlet and feed the waveguide through this tube.
Afterwards it is possible to seal this section with a heat shrinking tube.

• Wall glands- System Hauf
Do not feed a waveguide directly through this kind of wallglands, because of the high pressure to seal it.We recommend to put a steel tube into the inlet and feed the waveguide through this tube.Afterwards it is possible to seal this section with a shrinking tube.
The waveguide can be entered directly through this kind of wallgland.Afterwards it can closed with a shrinking sleeve.

• Dehydration concepts for waveguides- The closed system without additional measures
- Highly trained installation staff has to be required.
- This method is recommended only for short waveguide lengths, which are assembled in the factory and sealed for transportation.
- The air inside the waveguide must be dry.
- Both ends of the waveguide run are closed with pressure windows (or at one end by the pressure tight antenna).

P3-10
• Dehydration concepts for waveguides- The closed system with purging seal test
- The maximum length of waveguide is determined by the size of the nitrogen bottle.
- Moisture is eliminated from the waveguide.
- Both ends of the waveguide run are closed with pressure window (or at one end by the pressure tight antenna).
- The system is purged with dry nitrogen and seal tested after installation – with a transportable purge and sealing device.

P3-11
• Dehydration concepts for waveguides- The closed systems with purging, seal and humidity indicator
- The maximum length of waveguide is determined by the size of the nitrogen bottle (same length as before)
- In case of leakage the desiccant cartridge will provide an early warning (changing colour from blue to violet).
- Both ends of the waveguide run are closed with pressure windows (or at one end by the pressure tight antenna).
- The system is purged with dry nitrogen and seal tested after installation – with a transportable purge and sealing device.

• Dehydration concepts for waveguides- The closed systems with dehydrator
- Different dehydrators can be used, but the maximum pressure of 0,3 bar has to be noted.
- Dehydrators with an additional alarm connection saved the system very well. The max. length of waveguide is dependent on the capacity of the dehydrator
- Both ends of the waveguide run are closed with pressure windows (or at one end by the pressure tight antenna).
- The dehydrator is used to remove any moisture from the system.

• From this point go straight up until intersecting the plotted line.
• Go left from the point of intersection until encountering the minimum value for pressure (y-axis) loss to be indicated on the procedure. For short waveguides it is recommend that the value indicated by the chart is rounded up to the next integer (for example 0,4 = 1bar).y-axis
• Go along the x-axis to the corresponding length of waveguide to be rinsed.

Remove the metallic case for rack 19” mounting
Because of humidity coming out on top of the equipment during regeneration and the high temperature (100°C) leave an upper free space of at least four units from the dehydrator to the closed equipment
