Installation of SUN IDM:-

1. Copy the SUN IDM Setup folder from the provided location:-

\\10.187.130.25\mercury$\mercury\idm\OperationsTeam\Temporary\sun idm setup

2. Install mysql by running the Setup.exe file from mysql folder

3. Open the MySql Command Line Client window:-

5. Enter the password you have given while installing MySql6. After that give the following path:-

Note the Source written before the path. Write the Path carefully with the forward slashes keeping in mind and path

will be according to your folder location.

7. Install JDK and Tomcat also

8. Then set the path as depicted below:-

Kindly provide in Variable value the path where you have installed the related exe file

These in User Variables:-

These in System Variables:-

Note:-Just check before implementing this (below), there would be other paths also available. If there are any, then just put a ; in the end and paste the path wherever you have installed your mysql.

Steps to Install SUN IDM:-

1. First create an idm folder at the following location:-

Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 6.0\webapps\

Path to the created folder would be like

Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 6.0\webapps\idm

2. Then go the following location:-sun idm setup\idm\IDM_7_0_0

and run the install.bat file

The following installation wizard would appear:-

Click next and you will come across this new window:-

As this is the first time you are installing the wizard so don’t change the default selection:-

Click next and now you will come across directory page:-

Browse by clicking on the button and then navigate to the following location:-

\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 6.0\webapps\idm

Click next and the following window will appear:-

Go ahead and click button.

The pre-processing window will appear.

As the update is running, you go ahead again to set up the environment variables. This should be done else an error will appear, prompting you to set up the WSHOME.

Variable value is: -... \Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 6.0\webapps\idm

If any error still persists then, restart the system.

Select the repository as MySql(JDBC Driver)

After this put three jar files as shown below in Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 6.0\webapps\idm\WEB-INF\lib

The 1st jar file you will find at :- sun idm setup\jars.

The 2nd jar file is located at :- \sun idm setup\jars\javamail-1_4\javamail-1.4

The 3rd jar file is at :- \sun idm setup\jars\jaf-1_1-fr\jaf-1.1

Copy all these jar files and paste them as instructed

Restart the Tomcat server.

Execute option will be there in the final window of installation wizard, click it and then after some time once the execution is finished click on the done button you will find.

Now open up the browser and eneter the following URL:-

http://localhost:8080/idm/login.jsp
