This installation instruction covers the mUnit Pole Clamp together with the mUnit Base Mount. The mUnit Pole Clamp is made of anodized aluminium and the fasteners are made of acid proof stainless steel. This instruction shows how the mount is assembled and mounted towards the mUnit.

3. ASSEMBLY

Mount the mUnit Base Mount and the four M10 x 25 screws to the unit.

Please note that the mUnit Base Mount shall be mounted with the hinge towards the bottom of the unit.

Tighten the screws to torque 33 Nm (24 lb ft).

BEFORE ASSEMBLY

If omni antennas shall be mounted, the mUnit Omni Support must be mounted before the mUnit Pole Clamp and the mUnit Base Mount.

In this case please refer to the installation instruction for the mUnit Omni Support.

Pre-assemble the mUnit Pole Clamp by assembling the M10 x 185 screws, the M10 washers and the M10 nuts.

Do not tighten the screws or nuts until step 5 and 8 of this assembly instruction.

Make sure you turn the back clamp in right posi-tion depending on the shape and size of the tower leg (see mounting examples on page 17).

Open up the mUnit Base Mount to maximum extent in order to get best accessibility.

Mount the mUnit Pole Clamps to the mUnit Base Mount.

The picture shows the mUnit Pole Clamp position for attaching the unit to a vertical structure. By turning the mUnit Pole Clamp 90 degrees the unit can be attached to a horizontal structure.

Tighten the M10 screws to torque 33 Nm (24 lb ft).

Open the mUnit Pole Clamps.

Close the mUnit Pole Clamps and mount the unit on the tower leg.

Tighten the M10 nuts to torque 33 Nm (24 lb ft).

Open up the mUnit Base Mount to maximum extent in order to get best accessibility.

Mount the mUnit Pole Clamps to the mUnit Base Mount.

The picture shows the mUnit Pole Clamp position for attaching the unit to a vertical structure.

By turning the mUnit Pole Clamp 90 degrees the unit can be attached to a horizontal structure.

90˚ ANGLE PROFILES 35 x 35-90 x 90 mmFor 90˚ angle frame legs the back clamp profile should be turned with the protruding lips towards the frame member.

60˚ ANGLE PROFILES 40-100 mm For 60˚ angle frame legs turn the back profile with the protruding lips away from the frame member.

5. EXAMPLE OF PROFILES

ROUND TUBES Ø25-120 mmFor tubes Ø25-60 mm the back clamp profile should be turned with the protruding lips towards the tube. For tubes 60-120 mm the lips should be turned away from the tube.

SQUARE PROFILES 35 x 35-90 x 90 mmFor square profiles 35 x 35 to 50 x 50 mm the back clamp profile should be turned with the protruding lips towards the frame member. For squares 50 x 50 to 90 x 90 mm the lips should be turned away from the frame member.
