Materials Needed
• Be sure your oven is installed properly bya qualified installer or service technician.
• Be sure the oven is securely installed in acabinet that is firmly attached to the housestructure. Weight on the oven door couldcause the oven to tip and result in injury.Never allow anyone to climb, sit, stand orhang on the oven door.
• Make sure the cabinets and wall cover-ings around the oven can withstand thetemperatures (up to 200°F.) generated bythe oven.
CAUTION: The electrical powerto the oven supply line must beshut off while line connectionsare being made. Failure to do so
could result in serious injury ordeath.

This appliance must be supplied with theproper voltage and frequency, and connectedto an individual properly grounded branchcircuit, protected by a circuit breaker or fusehaving amperage as noted on rating plate.(Rating Plate is located on oven frame.)We recommend you have the electrical wiringand hookup of your oven connected by aqualified electrician. After installation, have theelectrician show you where your main ovendisconnect is located.Check with your local utilities for electricalcodes which apply in your area. Failure to wireyour oven according to governing codes couldresult in a hazardous condition. If there are nolocal codes, your range must be wired andfused to meet the requirements of the NationalElectrical Code, ANSI/NFPA No. 70-LatestEdition. You can get a copy by writing:

Effective January 1, 1996, the NationalElectrical Code requires that new, but notexisting, construction utilize a 4 conductorconnection to an electric range. Wheninstalling an electric range in new construction,follow the instructions in the section on NEWCONSTRUCTION AND FOUR CONDUCTORBRANCH CIRCUIT CONNECTION.You must use a three-wire, single-phase A.C.208Y/120 Volt or 240/120 Volt, 60 hertzelectrical system. Open oven door and remove literaturepack, broiler pan and grid, and ovenracks.Remove Installation Instruction fromliterature pack and read them carefullybefore you begin.Be sure to place all literature, Use andCare, Installations, etc. in a safe placefor future reference.
Open the door to the stop position.
DO NOT LIFT THE DOOR BY THEHANDLE!
Grasp the door on both sides andlift up and off the hinges.
NOTE:The oven door is very heavy. Besure you have a firm grip before lifting theoven door off the hinges. Use cautiononce the door is removed. Do not lay thedoor on its handle. This could causedents or scratches
Remove packaging materials.Check behind hinges, and underfalse bottom. Remove labels ondoor, plastic on trims and panel,and all tape around oven.

CAUTION: When the door isremoved and the hinge armsare at the stop postion, DONOT bump or try to move the
hinge arms. The hinges couldsnap back causing an injury tothe hands. Cover the hinges withtoweling or empty towel rollswhile working in the oven area.

Turn off the circuit breaker or removefuses to the oven branch circuit.
With the oven in front of the cabinetopening, on a table or platform, connectthe flexible conduit to the electricaljunction box as shown below. You willneed to purchase a strain relief clampto complete the connection of theconduit to the junction box.

a.Cut the neutral (White) lead from the crimp.Re-strip the neutral (white) lead to exposethe proper length of conductor.
b.Attach the appliance grounding lead (greenor bare copper) in accordance with localcodes. If the residence grounding conductoris aluminum, see WARNING note.
c.Connect the oven neutral (white) lead tothe branch circuit neutral (white or gray) inaccordance with local codes, using wirenut.
d.Connect the oven red lead to the branch circuitred lead and the oven black lead to the branchcircuit black lead in accordance with localcodes, using wire nuts. If the residence red,black or white leads are aluminum conductors,see “ WARNING” note on following page.

When connecting to a 3-conductor branchcircuit, if local codes permit:
WARNING: Improperconnection of aluminumhouse wiring to copper leads
can result in an electrical hazard orfire. Use only connectors designedfor joining copper to aluminum andfollow the manufacturer’srecommended procedure closely.
Do not shorten the flexible conduit.Theconduit strain Relief Clamp must besecurely attached to the junction boxand the flexible conduit must besecurely attached to the clamp. If theflexible conduit will not fit within theclamp, do not install the oven until aclamp of the proper size is obtained.
NOTE TO ELECTRICIAN: The 3 powerleads supplied with this appliance are ULrecognized for connection to larger gaugehousehold wiring. The insulation of these 3leads is rated at temperatures much higherthan the temperature rating of householdwiring. The current carrying capacity of theconductor is governed by the temperaturerating of the insulation around the wire,rather than the wire gauge alone.

b. Lift oven into cabinet cutout using the ovenopening as an grip. Carefully push againstoven front frame. Do not push againstoutside edges.
c. As you slide the oven back, pull the stringso that the conduit will lie on top of the ovenin a natural loop.
d. When you are sure the conduit is out of theway, slide the oven all the way back into theopening. Remove the string.

a. Drill four-1/8” pilot holes through themounting holes (top and bottom) of the sidetrim, for the four #8 screws provided. Drilleight holes for the Double Oven.
b. Secure the oven to cabinet with screwsprovided.
NOTE: Mounting screws must beused. Failure to do so could result inthe oven falling out of the cabinetcausing serious injury.

Note: Before drilling the pilot holesmake sure the oven is pushed as farback into the opening as it will goand centered.

CAUTION: Be sure you do not tip theoven foward during installation oryou may bend the Bottom Trim. TheBottom Trim provides an opening forcooling air to enter the cabinet. Thisopening should never be blocked.
Drilling the Pilot Holes
NOTE: If the cabinet is particle board, youmust use 4 #8 x 3/4 particle board screws.These may be purchased at any hardwarestore.

Make sure the hinge is in the doorstop position.
Grasp the door on both sides.
Hold the door over the hinges lining upthe hinges with the hinge slots on thebottom of the door.Slide the door down onto the hinges asfar as it will go.

Check to be sure the mounting screwsare installed and flush with the sidetrim, (see page 7).
Operation Checklist
Remove all items from the insideof the oven.
Turn on the power to the oven.(Refer to your Use and CareManual.) Verify that the bake andbroil units, and all cookingfunctionsoperate properly.
Check that the circuit breaker isnot tripped or the house fuse isblown.
Check that conduit is securelyconnected to the junction box.
See Use & Care manual fortroubleshooting list.
NOTE TO ELECTRICIAN:The power leads supplied with thisappliance are UL recognized forconnections to larger gaugehousehold wiring. The insulation ofthese leads is rated at temperaturesmuch higher than the temperaturerating of household wiring. Thecurrent carrying capacity of aconductor is governed by the wiregauge and also the temperature ratingof the insulation around the wire.
