SPRING CALENDAR 2018

From our Program Coordinator:

Spring is finally here so it’s time to get outdoors into the fresh air and get active! Our Race to Red Dog steps competition is in full swing and now that we can put the boots away it should be a lot easier to get those 10,000 steps per day. We are very excited about the programs and services we will be offering this spring

including our mobile health screening program. Just a reminder that these calendar programs fill up fast so have a look at these great offerings and give us a call to register.

STEPS OUT CHALLENGE! RED DOG HERE WE COME

Our TeckTreks team walking challenge to the Red Dog Mine started on Monday, February 19th. It’s Trail Ops. versus a combined team of A.R.T and The Skills Centre. Together we have already accu-mulated over ten million steps! Every step counts and although we strive for 10,000 steps per day, every step you take towards better health is an important one. No step tracker, no problem. We will convert your time or distance walking into steps. Just send us that info.

For every day you send in your step count your name will be entered into our draw prize box. The more you step the better your chances! That’s on top of having the bragging rights of being on the winning team. If daily forgetfulness is a problem, you can send the steps in once a week. All we need is the number of steps you have taken on each day of the week.

The weather has warmed up so there are no more excuses— let’s get up, get moving, and motivate each other as teammates as we make the long journey up to Alaska. Send your steps daily or weekly (indicate how many steps achieved each day) to [email protected].
