When I think summer, my mind
goes to vacation and fresh produce
from the garden. There’s nothing
like relaxing with family and friends
at the beach or a state park. And
there’s not much that matches fresh
picked strawberries or a tomato
ripened on the vine. So, whether
you’re home or away, summer is a
great time to enjoy!
We’ve already seen many travelers
come through the store on their way
to or from visiting family or friends
or on their way to or from vacation.
Summer is Finally Here! training is Shin Yamamoto,
Executive Vice Chairman,
President & CEO of Ja-
nome. As a new dealer, it
was a real privilege to con-
nect with him at our first
training. Janome is a brand
that is highly respected and
on the
rise in
the
sew-
ing
and
quilt-
ing
arena!
Most of them are participating in
this year’s Row by Row shop hop.
Check out the back page for a
picture of our row. Remember,
the pattern is free, just stop in!
At the end of May, Michell and I
had the opportunity to travel to
Cincinnati, Ohio for sales training
on the new Janome Horizon
Memory Craft 9400 Sewing Ma-
chine. It is the latest addition to
the Janome lineup and is the top
end machine without embroidery.
There are loads of features that
you will simply love! See page 2
for the details.
Pictured here with me at the
The Fabric Rack
Farm Life from Elizabeth’s
Studios is an adorable panel of
six squares that picture scenes
that could have been taken
from our
area. Cut
them up for
pillows or
incorporate
them into a
quilt. The
colors are
vibrant!
Wilmington Prints latest re-
lease is
Feather
Your
Nest. In
vibrant
blue there
are coor-
dinates
and a free
pattern to make a wall or lap
quilt.
McKenna Ryan is not only an
amazing appliqué quilt de-
signer, but now she
has started de-
signing fabric.
Sugar Plum is a
beautiful series of
lavender and purple mixed
with metallic stars and snow-
flakes. It’s a “gotta see”!
Autumn Splendor is a
great fall line released by
Benartex with a metallic
splash. A 60° table runner,
or placemats, or loads of
other possibilities.
Holly Taylor’s latest release
with Moda is Town Square.
This is a great winter scene
series with bridges, carriages,
gazeboes and more. Doug
Leko has an entire book with
patterns and projects.
Beauty Fall is
another Moda hit
for fall. It was
designed by Sandy
Gervais with three
patterns for wall quilts.
Winter Bliss by Benartex has
a panel of squares and coordi-
nates in
truly coun-
try colors
for the
snowman
lover.

What to do with
all those rows!
All in a Row is a great book that was
put together by Moda and published
by Martingale to solve that exact
problem. With
Row by Row in full
swing, this is the
perfect solution to
get your quilt put
together, claim a
prize, and have a
quilt to cherish.
Deb Tucker with
Tucker Trimmers (Studio 180) is well
known for her rulers and templates.
New additions to The Sewing Box
inventory include the Rapid Fire
Hunter’s Star and Lemoyne Star.
June’s Demo Night pro-
ject was the Hunter’s
Star. Construction is
strip based. The sample
is here for you to take a
close look. The Lemoyne
Star is put together with-
out any “Y” seams. It’s
bound to make a frus-
trating star much sim-
pler to construct.
What a Turkey and Beauty-Fall are
two great wall quilt patterns for the
Beauty Fall fabric series from Moda.
They use pre-cuts
and some back-
ground fabric and
are perfect for the
upcoming season.
The Horizon Memory Craft 9400
sewing machine is the latest addi-
tion to the amazing Janome line
up. It features 11” bed space from
needle to side, extra pull-forward
lighting, built-in walking foot, 3
