Our Lanterns Are Home! The police have returned our
school lanterns and the whole
school is thrilled! Our lanterns
were stolen a little over a year
ago; however, because of the
hard work of Staffordshire Police,
BBC Crime-Watch, our whole
school community and members
of the public, along-with
everyone’s sheer determination to
see these historic items returned -
we now have them back.
We would like to thank:
Staffordshire Police, BBC Crime-
Watch, Chancel parents & pupils
and members of the public for
their tremendous support.
Y1 Visit to Sudbury Hall All of the children in Y1 enjoyed their
visit to Sudbury Hall last week - here
are some of the photographs:
Without a sense of caring, there
can be no sense of community.

Family Quiz Night Our resident DJ organised a Family Quiz Night last Friday 16th March, 6—8pm. The quiz was
suitable for all ages and abilities, with a wide range of prizes up for grabs. It was a successful
evening and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We would like to thanks our resident
DJ for his time and continued support for our school; Mr Jenkins, for preparing all food for this
event; Chancel children and family members for supporting this event; and our dedicated PTFA
members who worked tirelessly to ensure it was an
enjoyable experience for all. We raised an impressive £297!
Gardeners Needed! Do you have some spare time each week, or fortnight,
when you could come into school, to help out in our
garden? Or do you have any gardening tools, resources
or skills you could donate towards the upkeep of our
garden? We have some very willing staff and children,
who would be happy to help
with ‘maintaining’ the garden
i.e. watering, light weeding,
tidying… If you, or someone you
know, would be interested in
helping to develop Chancel’s
garden; please contact the
school office - thank you.
Grandparents’ Afternoon Our School Council is once
again organising a

providing an opportunity for
Chancel’s grandparents to sit
together for a chat, while
playing board-games - your
grandchildren, will also be
able to join in with games such as: Frustration; Cards;
Dominoes… Light refreshments will be available.
Grandparents’ Afternoon will take place on Tuesday
