• When is the ELPA administered?Monday, March 16 to Friday, April 24 is the assessment window for the Spring 2009 ELPA

• What is assessed?Federal guidelines determine that five language domains must be reported:– Listening
– Reading
– Writing
– Speaking
– Comprehension (Listening and Reading)

• Listening, Reading, Writing domains assessed as individual sections:– Untimed
– Group-administered
– Each domain should be done in separate sessions
– Returned to contractor for scoring

– Scored by trained proctor at time of administration
