Insanity Alert is a thrash metal / crossover band from Innsbruck, Austria. Influenced by the likes of SOD, Suicidal Tendencies, DRI., Nuclear Assault and newer bands like Municipal Waste, Toxic Holocaust and Bones Brigade, the band started rehearsing early 2011.
With a basic line-up consisting of guitar, bass, drums and vocals, the four thrashers from Tirol wasted no time. Fast and short songs were written, relying on killer riffs and aggressive vocals. Lyrics about zombies, insanity, weed/beer and thrashing harder!
In August 2011, Insanity Alert was the direct opening-act for Suicidal Tendencies at the Radio Onda d’Urto festival in Brescia, Italy. 5000 people saw the band thrash through a 30-minute set of complete Insanity. Jaws dropped, devilhorns were raised. Mike Muir told the guys he was impressed and that IA’s version of ‘I Shot The Devil’ was almost better than the Suicidal version...
March 2012 saw the band record their first live EP, titled ‘First Diagnosis’, at the Backyard Blastbox studio in Innsbruck, Austria. The EP got raving reviews from Metalhammer, Rock Hard, Stormbringer.at, Lords Of Metal, Darkscene.at, Zware Metalen and more. It also got Insanity Alert on the bill with bands like Cannabis Corpse, Malignant Tumour, The Meatmen, Ghoul, Sadistic Intent, Vitamin X, The Kids and The Shining.
Last December Insanity Alert played the famous Speedfest in Eindhoven, NL among bands like Suicidal Tendencies, Monster Magnet, Peter Pan Speedrock and Graveyard. The band was referred to as one of the big surprises of the festival.
In February 2013 Insanity Alert released their new EP ‘Second Opninion’. The EP contains 6 brand new Insanity Alert originals. In your face, fast and catchy as shit. The band is ready to thrash stages all over the globe and has enough material for a killer full-length.

Insanity Alert is a crossover thrash band from Innsbruck, Austria. Since this debut-show things really took off and the band got to share stages all over Europe with bands like Nuclear Assault, Death Angel, Napalm Death, Toxic Holocaust, Cannabis Corpse, Valient Thorr, Ghoul, Exhumed, SSS, Dr. Living Dead, Master, Ramming Speed, Extreme Noise Terror, Vitamin X, The Meatmen, Master, Purgatory, Limp Bizkit, The Ca-sualties, Paradise Lost, Oi Polloi, Peter Pan Speedrock, The Kids, Anti-Flag, First Blood, Hobbs Angel Of Death, Holy Moses, Immola-tion, Desaster, Brujeria, Primordial, Dust Bolt and S.D.I, just to name a few...
Not only did Insanity Alert slay down audiences in clubs and bars, they also were invited to thrash things up at festivals like Speedfest (NL), Turock Open Air (DE), Full Tension Festival (IT), Vans Dirt ‘n Roll (CZ), Free & Easy Festival (DE), Rock Im Ring (IT), Oilsjt Ontploft (BE), Bastard Fest (NL), Alpine Steel Fest (AT), Delirium Fest (FR), Sauzipf Rocks (AT), Rock Im Wald (DE) and Rock The Lahn (IT)
After releasing two EP’s, Insanity Alert released their self-tilted debut full-length in October 2014. The record contains fourteen Insanity Alert originals, plus a twisted version of Iron Maiden’s Run To The Hills, now called RUN TO THE PIT. It’s in your face, fast and catchy as shit. Crossover thrash from today with a massive old school fee-ling. The record received raving reviews from Metalhammer, Rock Hard, Aardschok, Rock Tribune, Metal.de, Lords Of Metal, Zware Metalen and many more.
Insanity Alert has also recorded several videos for their songs, which can all be found on the bands Youtube channel. The video for ‘Glorious Thrash’ already has 38.000+ views on Youtube.com
Currently the band is working on new songs for their 2nd full-length album, scheduled for spring 2016. And in the meantime, they grab every opportunity by the cojones to thrash and party as hard as they can. Insanity Alert, probably in a town near you soon...
