Tektronix’ K18 hardware probe, combined with a PCplatform, enables customers to minimize acquisition costswithout sacrificing much-needed high-performancecapabilities. It supports testing of mobile technologies,including LTE, WiMAX, HSPA, 3G, 2.5G and 2G. The K18probe performs real-time capture under heavy loadsituations from STM-1/OC-3/GbE interfaces, hardwarefiltering (control plane/user plane, VPI/VCI), and first-levelhardware processing (RLC/MAC reassembling, logicalchannels auto-configuration). The dual-T1 YBT100 and the dual-T1 and single T3YBT100DS3 Backhaul Modules for Tektronix’ NetTekenable mobile operators to quickly and efficiently testbackhaul and transport circuits. The result, quite simply, ishigher productivity with less outage time. These backhaulmodules offer technicians the flexibility to test T1 and T3circuits while being controlled with by NetTek or thetechnician’s laptop.

This technology is capable of completely analyzing testmeasurements needed to uncover T1 problems affecting alive mobile network, before they escalate into down time.For T1 and T3 circuits, all errors, alarms, and signal qualityinformation is displayed on one easy-to-read summarypage. This page may be stored for benchmark testingduring turn-up or for analysis at a later time.
