– The main colour scheme used is orange, yellow, black and white. The black boxes with white and yellow text stands out greatly towards the very bright and vibrant orange and yellow background. The bright colours attract the target audience of a teen/young adult audience. The yellow and white text against the black background of the boxes could connote a bumble bee. This may connote danger and scare as bee’s can be classed as scary and dangerous. This relates to the genre of the magazine which is rock music. This is because from some audiences, as the music can sometimes be ‘shouty’ and loud it may be classed as scary. There is an image of each member of the band that the article is about, telling the reader who they are. Also, they are holding what looks like CD’s which the band’s name on them, again making the audience familiar with who the article is about.
