The decking options available are glass fibrereinforced concrete decking panels, timber,timber composite or glass reinforced plasticmesh. The fender options are hardwood,softwood, plastic or rubber. GLASS FIBRE REINFORCED CONCRETE DECKWe manufacture our glass fibre reinforcedconcrete planks in-house. The main advantage of this decking system is that the additionalweight offers the pontoon increased stability,over the wood or plastic decks, in harsher waveenvironments. The glass fibre reinforcementoffers excellent corrosive resistant propertiesand the deck is also very hardworking with low maintenance requirements, hence isparticularly suitable for use in a workingenvironment. It is available in either grey or salmon pink.

Heavy Duty Steel Framed Pontoon ICMS have developed a heavy duty steel pontoonwith additional strength in the frame, continuousbuoyancy and if required a higher freeboard. Thispontoon is able to perform in hardworking andrugged environments.

Pontoon Mooring OptionsPontoons can be restrained in place either bypiles or a mooring system. Piles can either be O Piles (normally driven) or H Piles (normallyfixed to a quay wall). ICMS can provide bracketseither externally or internally to suit either pilingoption. For a mooring system either in chain orrope, ICMS can provide either brackets, extensionlegs (to increase draught) or an eye bolt toconnect the mooring line to the pontoon.

Concrete Breakwater UnitsOur breakwaters are manufactured in-house to an ISO 9001 accredited quality system. The mainfunction of the breakwaters is to attenuate waves to an acceptable level so that sheltered berthing can be provided where a fixed breakwater is notfeasible. Breakwaters also offer clients the option to provide a berthing facility for boats in exposedconditions. The units are manufactured from Grade60N20 reinforced concrete with internal polystyreneblocks. Given the severe environments that theseunits have to function in we pay particular emphasisto the enhancement of the lifespan and hence offergalvanised reinforcing steel as standard and a glassfibre reinforced concrete skin to the base of thefloatation blocks. The breakwaters are available up to 20m in length, 5m in width and 750mm in freeboard.

Breakwaters Featuresand AccessoriesMOORING SYSTEMS – Where a mooring system is used for restraint the ICMS breakwater offers amooring box as standard, whereby the chain/ropecan be fed from the deck level and held in amooring box, substantially reducing the underwaterwork required from other systems such as mooringhooks. This system reduces installation times and provides the client with safer methods of work/maintenance.

PILING SYSTEMS – On breakwaters restrained by a piling system, ICMS can offer clients the option of either an external or internal pile guide. Bothsystems will be designed to satisfy the full range of loads experienced by the breakwaters.

SIDE BY SIDE CONNECTION – ICMS can also offerclients a side by side connection for breakwatersproviding clients with an overall width of up to 8m.

GangwaysWe can offer gangways in either steel or aluminiummanufactured to the highest level of quality. Ourgangways are decked with glass fibre reinforcedplastic mini mesh which provides a non-slip finish.All gangways are individually customised to suit the range and type of motions and access controlrequirements. If required mesh panels can also be provided. We can also design and manufacturecantilever platforms and offer advice and guidanceon the options available for clients who wish toprovide disabled access/access for all. Steelgangways are galvanised and painted as standard.
