Satish Pradhan Dnyanasadhana College, Thane
(Formerly known as Dnyanasadhana College) a
Premier education institute, is registered under the
Societies Registration Act, 1960, on 18th September
1980. The Junior College was recognized by the
Education Department, Government of Maharashtra
by an order dated 22nd October 1980. By virtue of
natural growth a full-fledged Degree College was
started in June 1983. The college is permanently
affiliated to the University of Mumbai and is
recognized by UGC under 2(f) and 12B. It is
reaccredited Grade ‘B’ by NAAC.
The college has faculties of Arts, Science and
Commerce on aided basis and B.Sc. Computer
Science, Information Technology, B.A. in Film TV
and New Media Production, M.Sc. Chemistry (By
Papers and By Research), Bachelor of Mass Media /
Bachelor Management Studies, B.Com. (Accounting
and Finance), B.Com (Banking and Insurance), M.A.
History and Sociology, M.Com. (Advanced
Accountancy and Business Management) and Ph.D. in
the subject of Chemistry and Commerce on unaided
basis.
The college has fully qualified and competent teaching
staff and adequate non-teaching staff. We are
expanding our premises for providing better amenities
and facilities. We have a building of our own with
future expansion plan. It is located off eastern express
highway near Marathon Chowk, Thane (West). The
College complex is located on a 2.2 acres plot, with a
fully built-up space of about 93000 sq. ft. It offers all
modern amenities needed for all round development of
the student's personality. Prospective students, parents
and visitors can commute from Thane Railway Station
by auto rickshaw or city bus services.
• To create an awareness about the process and
procedures of IQAC for creating healthy work
culture.
• To standardise the process and procedures of IQAC
to segregate different activities as Quality Assurance,
Quality Control and Quality Planning
• To create trained IQAC for application of Quality
tools.
• To control and monitor process for continuous
improvement at work place in terms of academics,
administrations, branding, accreditation and a
positive thought process to simplify administration.
• To create neighbourhood assistance to IQAC
coordinators by creating a network of trained force.
• To change the thought process of the faulty
competitions within the colleges that creates
complexes within the organisations and in the
students.
• To reduce the hype of NAAC and create a thought
process where NAAC is routine standard
accreditation process necessary for organisation
work culture.
• To provide necessary information and insights
regarding all the mechanism of IQAC process.
• To acquaint with New Guidelines of NAAC.
• To understand NAAC related issues and various
other accreditation such as AAA, ISO, NIRF, AISHE
• The IQAC of the college is empowered with the right
procedure and processes to function in time bound
manner.
• IQAC has necessary skills to streamline the college
procedures for effective working in time bound
manner.
• IQAC in college will be able to create a right
quality assurance, a better control over quality
through proper mechanism and proper planning. • The constituent IQAC can prepare its own IQAC’s
calendar.
The said course was conducted by HRDC of
Savitribai Phule Pune University from 19th March
to 25th March 2018 which got overwhelming
response.
The 5 days training programme in our college will
be conducted by the same resource persons/team.
