Initial Idea

A 12 year old girl is sitting in a classroom with her friends and she acts normal. We then follow her to the bathroom and as she locks the door to the cubical we realise she’s insane.

We then see her walking down the street with her friend talking about whether or not they want to have a baby and she seems really against the idea.

We go ahead in time to when she’s 18 and we see her sitting on a bench at university with her friends and her boyfriend, acting normal.

The following shot shows her in bed with her boyfriend and she wakes up and looks at him with a worried expression.

Then we see her pregnancy test is positive and both of their reactions (hers is scared and his is excited).

Initial Idea Contd.The woman is sitting on her bed with baby clothes she got as a present and she puts them under the pillow (foreboding what will happen to the baby)

They are on the way home from the hospital with the baby and she looks at the baby in her arms.

The couple are in the kitchen and the baby is crying in the bedroom. The man goes to shower and then he comes out and the baby is quiet and the woman is coming out of the bedroom with a pillow. He asks how she got it to be quiet and she says with an evil grin ‘where there’s a will, there’s a way’. He goes in to check and sees the baby is dead. He panics and runs to her asking what she did. She looks as if she didn’t do anything wrong and this angers him more. He begins to run out of the house but turns around as he reaches for the door.

Title appears.

Characters

Born and raised in a little town near Cambridge, she had a very normal childhood.

She now lives in Cambridge with her husband whom she met at university.

She works as a secretary in an important office. She is liked by everyone and appears as a very easygoing, independent woman.

However, she is secretly insane and has always been her whole life.

She is approximately 22 years old.

After growing up in Manchester, he moved to Cambridge to live with his wife.

He enjoys his job as a kindergarten teacher.

He is about 25.

James

(The baby is called Lucy.)

Music & Sound

I will open with a crescendo. Calm at the beginning as she’s in the classroom and everything’s normal but then gets louder as she goes to the bathroom and begins to show her insane side.

I will probably include a voiceover explaining what’s happening so the audience have a clearer understanding.

I will include some of the dialogue from within the film as well to make it more interesting.

For the crying sound I will record an actual baby crying and put it over the video to make it as lifelike as possible.
