IR and Raman spectraC 2530 Infrared Spectrum and Structure of the Gold Dihydroxide Molecule. — Au(OH)2
molecules are obtained by reaction of laser-ablated Au atoms with H2O2 and H2/O2 mix-tures in excess Ar during condensation onto an IR transparent window at 10 K and char-acterized by IR spectroscopy and DFT calculations. The results indicate a C2h structure and substantial covalent bonding character for the Au(OH)2 molecule, which is proba-bly due to the high electron affinity of gold. — (WANG, X.; ANDREWS*, L.; Chem.
