Infrared is used on mobile phones and barcode scanners and in photography. On a phone infrared is used to send and receive data from one phone to another, barcode scanners are also infrared as it scans the barcode for the price of the product. Infrared is used for photography this works by letting infrared light pass through the camera but blocks most of the visible light. Infrared is a fast transfer, however it will not work if a object is in the way of the transfer it wont work, you need a clear connection.

Infrared is used on mobile phones and barcode scanners and in photography.

On a phone infrared is used to send and receive data from one phone to another, barcode scanners are also infrared as it scans the barcode for the price of the product. Infrared is used for photography this works by letting infrared light pass through the camera but blocks most of the visible light.

Infrared is a fast transfer, however it will not work if a object is in the way of the transfer it wont work, you need a clear connection.

Bluetooth is used on mobile phones, laptops, computers and also printers.

It is used so you can send and receive data and images easily, for example you may want to send a image to the printer to print or you may want to send a image to your laptop to e-mail to someone.

Bluetooth speed connection does vary on how big the file size is, if it is large for example a 3 minute song then it could take several minutes to complete sending the data but if it is small like a image then it could just take seconds.

WiFi is used on mobile phones, laptops and computers.

It is used to have a Wireless connection so you can carry your laptop around the house and do work in different places and it is good in businesses as the work place will have many computers and wires everywhere wouldn’t be safe so WiFi is better so more computers can connect to it and so it is safer. Also mobile phones have WiFi so people can go on the internet.

The typical speed of WiFi is 802.11 this ranges from about 40 metres indoors and about 90 metres outdoors.

This is used in a variety of different places. It is a system that is widely used in the world for data transfer between devices such as mobiles.

It is used as a quick and easy way to transfer data files from anywhere in the world on various devices and networks.

The speed varies from 1G to 4G and in time will grow to faster speeds so that larger files can be transferred quicker and better quality.

It is used for sending and receiving data at a high speed, this is sent through the GSM network. It is also used because there is a shorter time for internet connections and everything on it is “On Demand” so you can use internet there and then without waiting.

GPRS is fast when sending and receiving data however, during busy times data transfer rates slow down.
