The successful treatment of infants and children with congenital heart disease has resulted in an overall survival into adulthood currently approaching 90%. As a consequence of this success, cardiologists and cardiac surgeons are challenged with the management of this rising, complex population of patients with unique and often complex clinical issues that require a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary approach. The second joined Catholic University - Johns Hopkins University Symposium on Grown–Up Congenital Heart Disease will address the specific issues that are pertinent to this particular and growing patient population, with presentations from international experts on various aspects of pre, intra and postoperative management. This second edition was organized in collaboration with the Policlinico San Donato and Bambino Gesù Children's Hospital to improve the synergy between the various national centers with expertise on congenital heart disease

The successful treatment of infants and children with congenital heart disease has resulted in an overall survival into adulthood currently approaching 90%. As a consequence of this success, cardiologists and cardiac surgeons are challenged with the management of this rising, complex population of patients with unique and often complex clinical issues that require a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary approach. The second joined Catholic University - Johns Hopkins University Symposium on Grown–Up Congenital Heart Disease will address the specific issues that are pertinent to this particular and growing patient population, with presentations from international experts on various aspects of pre, intra and postoperative management. This second edition was organized in collaboration with the Policlinico San Donato and Bambino Gesù Children's Hospital to improve the synergy between the various national centers with expertise on congenital heart disease
