HOLDING THE DOCUMENT VERIFICATION SLIP CUM ACKNOWLEDGEMENT CARD ISSUED
BY KEA.
1. REGISTRATION AND PAYING THE REGISTRATION FEES IS COMPULSORY.
2. The candidates who have already verified the documents earlier and holding the
Document Verification slip cum acknowledgement card issued by KEA have to
compulsorily register themselves and pay the registration fee of Rs.5,000/- afresh
through Net Banking to become eligible for admission to NRI / NRI Sponsorship /
Management seats.
3. But,
(i) THEY need not attend the document verification once again for allotment of
Management seats.
(ii) if they are eligible for NRI / NRI Sponsorship seats then they have to submit the
relevant certificates / documents on 24-04-2017. (Read the eligibility criteria for
NRI / NRI Sponsorhsip seats)
Further, please note that they will be allowed for entry of options for NRI / Management seats only if they register themselves, pay the registration fees and submit the relevant certificates.

1. REGISTRATION AND PAYING THE REGISTRATION FEES IS COMPULSORY.
2. The candidates have to compulsorily register themselves by log on to KEA Website
http://kea.kar.nic.in, select the appropriate link and enter the details online.
3. After completion of entry of application pay the registration fee of Rs.5,000/- through
online / net banking.
4. For NRI / NRI Sponsorship / Management seats, submit the relevant original certificates
/ documents on the specified dates / schedule. (Read the eligibility criteria for NRI /
NRI Sponsorhsip seats)

II. INTRODUCTION
In compliance with the guidelines / directions issued by MHFW, Government of
India letter dated 06-04-2017, Government in its letter No. HFW 320 RGU 2016,
Bangalore Dated 13-04-2017 has directed KEA to conduct common counselling for
admission to Post Graduate Medical / Dental Degree / Diploma Courses for NRI /
Management quota seats in Private and Deemed University Colleges in the state of
Karnataka for the year 2017-18. Accordingly Karnataka Examinations Authority
invites applications online from the interested eligible candidates who have qualified
in NEET-2017 for admission to Post Graduate Medical / Dental Degree and Diploma
courses for NRI / Management quota seats to be notified by Government for the
year 2017-18.
Accordingly, KEA is inviting applications online from the eligible, qualified in
NEET-2017 candidates, for admission to Post Graduate Medical / Dental Degree and
Diploma courses in Private and Deemed Institutions for NRI and Management seats
for the year 2017-18 in the state of Karnataka.
The academic eligibility criteria as laid down in NEET-2017 information
brochure and other conditions are hosted on the KEA Website http://kea.kar.nic.in
for the information of the candidates. The candidates who have scored more than or
equal to the prescribed minimum score in NEET-2017 only are eligible to register for
PG Admissions.
KEA is entrusted with document verification for determining the eligibility of
the candidates as per the directions of the Government and the allocation of seats as
per the Online seat Allotment and Admission Procedure. The results of Medical /
Dental published by National Board of Examination (NBE), New Delhi in NEET-2017
will be taken into consideration for preparation of rank list after verification of
original documents and allotment of seats to all eligible candidates for PG Medical /
Dental seats.
III.
IT IS MANDATORY THAT ALL CANDIDATES TO PRODUCE A PRINT OUT
OF ADMIT CARD & SCORE CARD ISSUED BY NBE FOR MEDICAL & DENTAL
COURSES, KEA ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM AND COPY OF THE CHALLAN FOR

HAVING PAID THE FEES ON THE DAY OF DOCUMENT VERIFICATION ALONG WITH
OTHER RELEVANT DOCUMENTS PRESCRIBED HERE IN.
All candidates are directed to visit the website of KEA at least twice every day for
updates. KEA or the Directorate of Medical Education or the Government shall
not be responsible for any action/consequence /s resulting due to non-diligent
follow up of notices, notifications and publications appearing on the KEA website
for PGET 2017 by the Candidates.
The Government or Karnataka Examinations Authority or the Entrance Test
Committee may from time to time specify for submission such other additional
documents and issue directions as deemed essential for all Candidates for
maintaining absolute transparency and integrity in the Document Verification
Process, Determination of Eligibility and Seat Allotment and Admission- through a
notification on the website of KEA.

III. IMPORTANT POINTS
Candidates are hereby informed to go through the Information Bulletin carefully and
understand / acquaint themselves:‐
1. Candidates can apply “Online” only for Karnataka State PG Medical Admissions.
2. Information Bulletin can be downloaded from the Website http://kea.kar.nic.in
3. Online submission of Application Form can be done by accessing KEA Website
http://kea.kar.nic.in
4. Candidates must follow the instructions strictly as given in the Information Bulletin
and on KEA Website http://kea.kar.nic.in Candidates not complying with the
instructions shall summarily be disqualified.
5. Candidates must retain the following documents with them as reference for future
correspondence.
(i) At least three printouts of the finally submitted online Application.
(ii) Online Fees Paid receipt copy
(iii) 3 copies of identical Photograph that is scanned and uploaded in the Online
Application.
6. (a) Candidate must ensure that mobile numbers, e‐mail address entered in the online
application form are his / her own as in case of urgency KEA may send information
/ communications by SMS or email on given mobile number and email ID only.
(b) KEA will not be held responsible for non‐receipt of latest information due to wrong
mobile number or mailing address filled in the Online Application Form.
7. Candidates must preserve the NBE Admit Card till the admission in College or
Institution.
8. For the latest updates, candidates must remain in touch with the KEA Website
http://kea.kar.nic.in till the completion of final round of counseling.
9. Candidates / parents are advised to visit KEA Website http://kea.kar.nic.in at least
twice in a day for the latest news / updates and also check their mobile / e‐mail as in
case of urgency KEA may send the information / communications.
10. KEA will reserve the right to withdraw any such admission made at any point of time
which is not fulfilling the eligibility criteria / regulations fixed by the Competent
Authority from time to time.

IV. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
A candidate who fulfils the following criteria will be eligible to appear for the
online seat allotment process, namely:-
A. Academic Eligibility
Candidates who obtain a minimum score in the PG Entrance Test conducted by National Board of Examinations, New Delhi as per category below shall be declared as “Qualified” in PGET‐2017.
I) >=50 percentile in PGET for “General Merit” candidates
ii) >=40 percentile in PGET for “Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe & OBC”
candidates (Karnataka)
iii) >= 45 percentile in PGET for Persons with Disability candidates with Locomotor
Disability of lower limbs between 40% to 70% (for Medical)
i. Inter Se merit
In case two or more candidates obtaining equal marks in the competitive
entrance examination, their inter se merit will be determined as follows
(a) Marks Secured in NEET – Descending (1st Order)
(b) According to age, older will get preference over younger.(2nd Order)
(c) If candidates have secured same marks in NEET then Total No. of
Attempts taken in UG – Ascending (3rd Order)
(d) If candidates have secured same marks in NEET & same Total No. of
attempts taken in UG then % of total marks secured in UG –
Descending (4th Order)
(e) If candidates have secured same marks in NEET, same Total No. of
attempts taken in UG & same % of total marks in UG then % of final
year marks secured in UG (5th Order)
B. Other Eligibility
i. He / She has studied and passed in the courses leading to the award of MBBS
Degree in colleges recognized by Medical Council of India, Dental Council of
India, Government of India and affiliated to any University established by law in
India.
ii. He / She have completed ‘Compulsory Rotating Internship’ on or before
31st March 2017.

iii. A candidate, who is already pursuing / holding a Post-Graduate degree in any
specialty, shall not be eligible to appear for the online seat allotment counselling
process for admission to any post Graduate Medical / Dental Degree or Diploma
Course.
C. NRI Eligibility
As per the definition defined in The Karnataka Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Determination of Fee) Act, 2006 read with the Karnataka Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Determination of Fee)(Amendment) Act, 2017 i.e., “ Non Resident Indian” means a candidate born to a parent of Indian origin and residing outside the country and who has passed the qualifying equivalent examination outside India” and includes persons of Indian origin and Overseas citizens of India
a) The candidate who have passed qualifying examination outside India should have registered in MCI
b) For the purpose of verification e‐document may be considered with regard to NRI sponsorship certificate subject to submitting the original at the time of taking the admission.
Mandatory Documents required for NRI candidate:
a) Candidate’s parents resident certificate issued by the Embassy of that country complying the Income Tax Rules
b) Candidate’s passport / VISA/ Resident VISA c) Citizenship of the candidate d) Income Tax Documents required as per the Income Tax Act 1961 e) Candidate’s study certificate for having studied outside India where applicable
for the qualifying examination.
Mandatory Documents required for NRI sponsorship candidate a) Candidate’s sponsorer’s resident certificate issued by the Embassy of that
country complying the Income Tax Rules b) Candidate’s sponsorer’s passport / VISA/ Resident VISA c) Citizenship of the sponsorer d) PAN/Tax document of the sponsorer e) Affidavit from the candidate (e‐document – Annexure IV)
V. OTHER MANDATORY CERTIFICATES / DOCUMENTS / FORMATS TO BE PRODUCED FOR NRI / NRI SPONSORSHP / MANAGEMENT SEATS.

All candidates appearing for document verification should produce the following in
Original Certificates along with one set of self attested copy of all the required
documents at the time of document verification. The originals certificates will be
verified and returned to the candidates. Under no circumstances the candidates
will be allowed to participate in the verification process without the
original documents / certificates / relevant Annexures.
General Mandatory Documents / Certificates required for NRI / NRI SPONSORSHP / MANAGEMENT seats
Admit card & Score Card issued by NBE for Medical & Dental courses.
KEA PGET-2017 Registration form duly filled form (print out) and fees paid receipt.
Photo Identity Proof ( Aadhar Card / PAN Card / Driving License / Voter ID / Passport / / Ration Card)
Two Passport Size colour photographs (photograph uploaded to the NBE examination)SSLC or 10th Standard Marks Card (For date of birth) or equivalent certificate.
11th and 12th Standard Marks Card.
Marks cards of all the years / phases of MBBS / BDS.
Qualifying degree certificate. (PDC will be accepted only for candidates who have passed MBBS / BDS during 2016)
Certificate of internship completion in Annexure I for candidates who have already completed internship.(Provisional internship completion certificate will be accepted for Candidates completing their internship by 31st March 2017, only for 1st round of counselling in Annexure II).
State/ Central Medical / Dental Council Registration Certificate. (Candidates who have obtained their Primary Medical Qualification outside India and do not have SMC / MCI registration should bring their original screening test pass certificate issued by NBE). Permanent State / Central Medical / Dental Council Registration Certificate to be compulsorily submitted at the time of admission process.
Provisional registration certificate will be accepted only for document verification in casea candidate passed MBBS / BDS during 2016. (Prior to 2016, candidates should compulsory produce the Permanent Registration certificate)
All the Candidates are also required to submit an UNDERTAKING on Rs. 20 e-Stamp Paper brought out in the name of the Candidate to the Karnataka Examinations Authority as shown in Annexure III.
Only on submission of the above prescribed documents, the candidate’s
document verification process is stated to be completed and he /she

becomes eligible for allocation of User ID and Secret Key (Verification
Document acknowledgement).
The Government / Competent Authority / Karnataka Examinations Authority from
time to time may specify for submission such other additional documents as deemed
essential from all Candidates through the application form or through notification in
website: http://kea.kar.nic.in
Further the MCI, Government of Karnataka, the Karnataka Examination Authority,
the Directorate of Medical Education, and the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health
Sciences reserve the right to cause any verification as deemed essential at any
point of time into the originality and authenticity of any of the certificates
produced by any candidate to fulfil and stake his/her claim to any of the
qualifying and eligibility criteria. If on such verification it is found that the
Candidate has produced fake, fraudulent certificates, he/she will be liable for
criminal prosecution, immediate loss of allotted seat without any notice
whatsoever, recovery of monetary compensation as may be decided by the PGET
Committee, will be liable to be debarred from all exams in future besides the
Government will recommend blacklisting of the Candidate to MCI/DCI/KMC and
cancellation of license.
Candidature is purely provisional and subject to fulfilment of eligibility
criteria as mentioned in the NEET-PG-2017 Information Bulletin further the
provisional admission made is subject to approval of MCI / Government /
Competent Authority / Universities / Deemed Universities etc. Mere registering or
verifying the documents does not confer any right to the candidates for admission
to Karnataka PG MD / MS / Diploma courses.
VI. STAGES – FOR REGISTRATION To commence the process for admission to Post Graduate Medical / Dental Degree
and Diploma courses for the year 2017-18 in the institutions as notified by the
Government of Karnataka the candidate has to go through the following stages.

1. Online Registration. The candidates who are qualified in NEET-2017 and who are aspiring PG Medical and Dental seats in the Karnataka State have to register online by visiting
http://kea.kar.nic.in. All the details sought in the online registration form has to be entered by the candidates without fail. The details entered by the candidates will be the final for further process of admission.
2. Payment of Registration Fees After completion of entry of details online, candidate has to pay the registration fees of Rs. 5,000/- through online (internet banking / debit card / credit card)
NOTE: Filled registration form and a copy of the UTR details for having paid the fees should be compulsorily submitted along with the other documents at the time of verification.
VII. DOCUMENT VERIFICATION SCHEDULE
The document verification will be conducted in the premises of KEA, 18th Cross,
Malleshwaram, Bengaluru, Karnataka, as per the below schedule. The candidates
have to attend the document verification process with all the necessary original
documents and one set of self attested photocopies of the same. Candidates have to
be personally present for the document verification with all the required original
documents and strictly adhere to the time schedule allotted as per their Serial
Number of list published on the KEA Website.
NOTE: The serial number list is assigned by KEA only for the purpose of document
verification; this serial number has no relevance to the merit / rank list which will be
published & notified later after verification.
