The Manger (Cry Room)The Manger is located at Level 3 of the Sanctuary and is strictly reserved for families with children below the age of 3 years. Children 3 to 12 years old are strongly encouraged to attend Silver Boxes*, our children’s programme at Level 1 of the Sanctuary. We also have Shiny Tots ministry* at 9.30am and at 12pm if your child is between the ages of 12 months to 30 months. If you or your child is unwell, please refrain from using The Manger as the germs can spread easily. *Sessions not avaliable on first Sunday of each month.

CUS Purple Parade 2018

Come support the special-needs community through the Purple Parade, a free-and-easy carnival event to be held at Suntec City on Saturday, 27 Oct 2018. Carnival coupons are sold at the Fellowship Hall TODAY, and T-shirts will be sold outside the Jordan Hall next Sunday, 14 Oct 18. If you cannot attend the carnival yourself, please consider blessing someone else by getting coupons for them. All proceeds will go to about 40 participating charities. Missions Membercare Workshop How do we care for our missionaries and their families whilst they are in the missions field and in another country?Come hear from Katherine Tan, Personnel Executive and Consultant in Wycliffe Singapore and Wycliffe Asia-Pacific. Her field experience in the Philippines and in other countries has helped her understand first-hand the challenges of cross-cultural living/work and the need for good membercare. She is also serving in the Foreign Domestic Workers ministry in her home church and has shared her experience in membercare work at the Asia Membercare Network seminars, FOMOs and GoForth worship sessions plus denominational mission agencies/organisations/church seminars over the years. Basic Drama Workshop In this 2-session hands-on workshop, learn the basics of acting which will come in useful for short skits and mimes which can be used in Missions and Out-reach. PrayerFocusChildren’s Ministry SHINY TOTS1. Praise God for the increase in attendance for both services. Pray for more volunteers to support this ministry, in partnership to build up families and touch lives for His glory.

SILVER BOXES1. Praise God for the recent Children’s Day celebration on 30 September. May our children continue to grow deeper in their faith and walk with God.

2. Pray for our children who are or will be taking their year-end semestral examinations. Pray for wisdom, diligence and strength to study smart and may God grant them clarity of mind and His peace to sit through the papers. 3. Pray for the upcoming Missions-focused Sunday for our Kindy children on 25 November. Pray for their spiritual eyes to be opened, and may they learn that they are never too young to express their love for Him. 4. Pray for the preparations of the upcoming Christmas special event on 23 December. May our children encounter God in a special way.

SONSHINE KIDS1. Praise God for the good turn out at our annual Sonshine Kids Party on 6 October. Pray that the Word preached and the seeds sown in the hearts of the community children will continue to grow and take root. 2. Pray for our upcoming Family Bonding event on 17 November where we will be inviting the family members of our Sonshine Kids to join us. Pray for a meaningful and fruitful time where our leaders and the families can get to know one another deeper, and may the light of Christ shine in and through us. 3. Pray for our upcoming Youth Overnight Camp on 8 & 9 December. We pray for the youths to bond together and to encounter God at the camp and at the Church Service that they will be attending. May they find PLMC a welcoming and safe space for them to belong.

the homes of the Sonshine Kids on 8 December. May the warmth of God’s love touch the hearts of the families we visit.

Mandarin Service Agape MinistryPray that the core team members keep the purity of hearts and are sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit, that their prayers are spirit-led and their words and actions bring the love and healing touch of God upon the China injured workers.

Youth Ministry1. Please pray for the youths are who are going through their exam season. Pray that they will not be overcome by stress but be driven by it. Pray for wisdom in studying and grace to remember. Pray for good sleep and good health for them through this season.

2. Please pray for the Cross Over camp to be an impactful one for our P6s. Pray that the camp will be a great start in bridging the P6s into the Youth Ministry and that the P6s will be able to unite and bond together through the camp activities and for the ministry of God to touch and im-pact their lives for His glory.

His Media/CommunicationsIn HiS Media/communications, volunteers contribute their talents in the areas of live video production, projection, photography, graphic design and writing. Volunteers provide photographic and journalistic coverage of church events and activities for the PLMC website, social media pages as well as church publications such as Heartbeat.

Women’s Society of Christian Service (WSCS)The WSCS ministry centres on four main pillars to help Methodist women find a place of belonging where they can serve God, grow together as sisters-in-Christ and encourage each other in their Christian walk. With particular focus on women, programmes and activities are planned and organised in these four areas of ministry; Discipleship & Nurture, Missions, Outreach & Social Concerns and Witness & Evangelism.

The WSCS provides a platform for women to be equipped in the areas of leadership and servanthood for the general ministry of the local church. We invite all women to join us. To find out more, please visit our booth at the Fellowship Hall.
