Kino Sõprus is the legend on its own – as the oldest existing cinema in Estonia it is continually considered to be the only “real” art-house cine-ma, due to it´s non-mainstream and quirky film selection. Kino Sõprus and its operator´s non-profit organization Must Käsi 2´s motto is to keep the its fits clenched against the onslaught of mass culture that treats its subjects as statistical consumers. The humanity will reign and our mo-dus operandi is to undermine the conventionalism and under apprecia-tion of its public by commercial producers and cinema operators and our aim is to push the limits well beyond the horizon of fearfulness.
