Mechanical Vacuum Booster

Dry Running Vacuum Boosters are used together with backing pump in all rough and Fine vacuum applications where large suction Volumes are required.

Boosters with bypass valve can start under the atmospheric pressure because the overfl ow valve is able to open automatically when the working pressure exceed the maximum diff erential pressure. Th e function of gas fl ow re back is to protect Vacuum Booster from long period over run pressure condition so that vacuum booster over heating can be avoided.

Dry Screw Vacuum Pump

Dry Screw Vacuum Pump are High Effi cient, low working cost, streamline process vacuum, for use in most harsh gas and many industrial applications.

Oil Lubricated/Oil Sealed Vacuum Pump

Oil lubricated Vacuum pumps are specially designed for pumping toxic, corrosive and condensable gas by special material of contruction.

Kay Vacuum System with Dry Screw Vacuum Pump In this confi guration, the main component is dry screw pump. We have the option of supplementing this with two stages of boosting with mechanical boosters as per the requirement of industry.

Description of Vacuum SystemTh e description in succeeding paragraph is applicable to all the systems supplied by Kay. Th e Vacuum System should be directly connected to the Condenser Suction temperature between 0 to 50⁰ C.

a. High capacity Mechanical Vacuum Booster is to be connected to enhance the vacuum and reduce the pumping down time to evacuate large quantity of air + gas/vapor load. Vacuum Boosters should be connected in series to obtain higher pumping capacities.

b. Th e system will have backing pump with Advance Technology By pass design specifi cally for the type of application in chemical, pharmaceutical, Food processing, steel processing and vacuum furnace plants.

c. Th ere will be a inter stage condenser cum cold trap unit with receiver having low temperature water to condense and trap the carry over vapor load. Th is will be installed between the booster and backing pump. Th is inter stage condenser will be a shell and tube type condenser and above this there will be demister pad, so that all the vapors get condensed in this cold trap unit and nothing goes into the backing pump.

d. Th ere will be High mechanical vacuum boosters in series, there aft er a inter stage condenser cum cold trap unit with receiver, backed by Vacuum pump.

e. At the end of the system, a scrubber unit is provided to trap any Vapor load having demister pad to condense the vapors and exhaust only clean air to atmosphere.

f. Entire assembly shall be skid mounted, supplied with VFD’s, Electric Control Panel with all standard accessories.

g. At the inlet of system, a trap is provided to obstruct the path of any foreign particle to get inside the system.
