Industrial Revolution Invention
Students pretend to be an inventor during the Industrial Revolution. (They must take on the persona of a real inventor from the time
period and use a real invention.) Their task is to market their new invention using either a poster or a brochure.
The full download includes the following 8 pages:
Detailed assignment sheet that clearly outlines the criteria
List of inventors and inventions Pre-planning worksheet
Research Record Sheets (2) based on the assignment criteria Bibliography template for students to fill in
Bibliography example Marking Rubric
I use the Research Record Sheets because it clearly shows the
students what is required of them for their research. It’s also a great way to check on their progress, review note-taking skills, and ensure that the students will not “copy & paste” from the internet.
