Working class dwelling – “chawal”. It is constructed by Government, Municipal corporation, the port trust, textile mills, private landlords.

It consist common veranda and one room.

workers lived in Darks, Damp, Leaky Huts – BUSTEES.

These huts were constructed without any proper plan. The negative features of this huts are ill ventilated, never cleaned, contaminated water for domestic purpose, inadequate sanitation facility.
