01 Klingelnberg
Redesign of the complete product portfolio
For the mechanical engineering company Klingelnberg, in cooperation with
The Kaikai Company we redesigned the complete product portfolio. The focus
of sick design was especially in the design and pre-construction for the cabinbuilder.

control panel
The human-machine interface represents the machine control
panel. Due to the new Machine Design, the appearance of the
control panel had to be also adapted.
The result is a uniform carbon frame that carries all components in
the front panel now.

II Viper 500
The VIPER 500 cylindrical gear grinding machine is designed for com-
ponent diameters up to 500 mm and is optimally suited for small to
medium-sized batches. To suit individual requirements, the machine is
available in four different configurations: Profile grinding, small grinding
wheels for custom jobs and multiplewheel technology (K), as well as
generating grinding (W) or (KW). The VIPER 500 W / KW configuration
allows both profile grinding and continuous generating grinding on the
same machine – with minimal retooling time.

02 Wenzel
I Core D
CORE D is a 5-axis, optical CMM system which is ideal for measurement of small
to medium turbine blades, medical implants or any other parts with similar char-
acteristics of polished, reflective surfaces and sharp edges.
The new generation of CORE D has an automatic cover which closes during the
measurement cycle ensuring perfect optical, thermal and clean conditions. The
CORE D is shop-hardened, designed to be robot loaded and occupies a small
footprint.

The WENZEL SHAPETRACER 3D line scanner turns your coordinate measuring
machine into the ideal tool for capturing and processing point clouds.
Suitable to anyone who wants to capture and process the surfaces and contours

Umill 6
Umill range is a 5-axis machining centres with a portal structure and a swivelling rotary table on cradle.
Its modern design and compact size are optimized to guarantee a minimal footprint without compro-
mising either to the workpiece volume or to the fundamental Characteristic of the HURON machines :
enhanced rigidity for high performance and quality machining.

Jyoti MTX 300
For Huron‘s sister company, „Jyoti“, based in India, the company had to transfer the design of the UMILL 6 to the
other machine series. These include the DX 200, VMC 850, Tachyon and the MTX 300 as shown here.
Since the design elements, especially the „logo clip“, can be used according to a modular principle,
the adaption of the design could be carried out cleanly and quickly. New Design

laser head
For the Bystar Fiber, a laser cutting machine from Bystronic,
it was necessary to develop a visually appealing hood for the
laser head. The design from movies like Transformers and
Robocop served as inspiration. The design should have a
futuristic appearance.

RX 70
Thanks to its hybrid technology, the RX 70 is the most econo-
mical forklift truck in its class.
Visually, it stands out for its curved lines, which starts at the
rear and goes to the front. The cabin is well integrated in the
overall design. These characteristics are a technical and
optical revolution for the truck.

Prototype Dr. Ing. Ralph Stephani is developing a new hydraulic engine which
shall replace chain-drive for bicycles.
Our team was looking for possibilities to apply this hydraulic engine.
After a lot of research we came to the conclusion that the hydraulic
engine could be the best fitted to hand bikes.
Hand-bikes are bicycles especially for paraplegic people who cannot
use their legs to pedal the crank.

Avalanche Safety HelmetThe avalanche safety helmet possesses an additional option which prevents the
driver from asphyxia.(erstickungstot)
Asphyxia is the main reason for dying when somebody is buried under an ava-
lanche. By partitioning O2 in by inhalation and CO2 by exhalation the chance of
survival until the rescue by a mountain rescue service increases tremendously.
In case of an avalanche burying, the user locks the front handle within a few se-
conds. By means of a mouthpiece, provided with control valves which are placed
in front of the handle, he can filter oxygen from the surrounding field snow.
By breathing out air containing CO2, it passes through a channel within the helmet
form, which leads to the back of the helmet.

Prototype
The well-known and most sold sled, is the classical Davos sled. When it is not used, you find it usually in the cellar or the attic.
There exists a variant of the Davos Sled, which has a more complex build. Other existing folding carriages are also technically
complex.The goal of my work was to design a carriage which is simple and space saving.

11 Rotor
Prototype
this Prototype offers the possibility to generate electricity in regions
without access to electricity in the simplest way. The idea is a
decentralised energy supply that can replace diesel generators. The aim
is to prevent local supply shortage in developing and emerging countries.
