I- INTRODUCTION:
During the winter of 1987 february, an induced polarization survey was undertaken on the Michaud Twp. property of Nahanni Mines Limited, in an attempt to outline stratigraphic horizons of disseminated sulfi- des. The survey was carried out within the framework of an exploration program implemented to evaluate the gold-bearing potential of this particular area of Garrison,Michaud S Guibord Twp. .
II- PROPERTY:
The Nahanni Mines Ltd. property consist of a 83 claims straddling the Michaud Twp. east-west. The claims covered by the induced polarization survey are numbered as follows:

III- LOCATION S, ACCESSIBILITY;
The Nahanni Mines Ltd. proerty lies at an appro ximate distance of 40 km. east of the town of Matheson Ontario via Hwy 101. At a point 5 km east of Perry Lake Lodge, an access road leads south, for appro ximate of 7 km. to the grid.

IV- INDUCED POLARIZATION SURVEY;
The dipole-dipole induced polarization survey was carried out over a 100m and 50 m grid lines system. The grid consist of 17 lines. 13 lines of 700 meters long and 4 lines of 500 meters.
The electrode interval was 25 meters and volta ge readings were taken from 13=1. to NM at every 25 m. The .25 S 4.0 Hz. frequencies were used during the survey.
A Phoenix I.P. T-l transmitter and a I.P.V-1 receiver was used to carry out the survey.
V- DATA PRESENTATION:
The maps and pseudo-sections of the calculated apparent resistivities and percentages of frequency effect are included in this report.
One map of surface projection of the interpre ted I.P. anomalous zones. Finally, apparent resis tivity, frequency effect and metal factor pseudo- sections are presented in this report.
VI- DISCUSSION S INTERPRETATION:
The induced polarization method is mainly used to detect disseminated metallic sulfides. The fre quency effect is derived from a normalized different of apparent resistivities calculated at two different frequencies. The frequency effect anomaly intensity is related mainly to the total surface of disseminated sulfides in the rock and the sulfide grain size.
Exmination of the maps and pseudo-sections re veals 2 east-west bands of anomalous readings crossing the claims mentionned. In these two bands, five diffe rent anomalous zone were identified. The anomalous zones are labelled l, 2, 3, 4 S 5 on the compilation map.

The beginning and the end of each of this ano malous zone may become interesting drilling target if near cross-cutting structures are identified by other geological or geophysical methods.
Anomalous zone #1
The first anomalous zones runs from line 200E to line O and from line 400W to 700W. No change in resistivity can only see the conductor in the F.E. about 3 times the background 1.5 to 1 ,1*. The best drilling target along this axis is located on line 0+50E between station 0 + 25N to 1-t-OON. On the west the line 4+OOW between station 0+50N to 1+25N is a good drill target the two above are first priority target for zone #1.
Anomalous zone #2
The anomalous zone #2 intersects line 5+OOE to line O respectively at station B.L. to 1+25S. This conductor is close to the #1 zone or agains it. This zone is not very strong more like weak. I suggest a drill hole accross this band of conductive material. Line 0+50E is probably a good drill target at 1+75S drill towards the north.
Anomalous zone #3
This anomalous zone #3 intersects line 3+OOW to line 7W respectively at stations 0+50S to 1+OOS. This conductor narrow medium type conductor . The best line to test is line 7+OOW at 0+75S to 0+50S. This conductor is about 3 to 5 times the background no change in resistivity.

Anomalous zone #4
The anomalous zone #4 intersects line 4+OOW to
line 7+OOW between 2-t-OOS and 3+OOS. The best line to test with a drill hole is line 7+OOW between 3+OOS to 2+25S. Good first priority target for zone #4
Anomalous zone #5
The anomalous zone #5 intersects line 3+OOE
to line 1+OOW between 2+OOS and 3+OOS. This zone
is already been drill by a few drill holes that
will show the cause of the conductor (line 1+OOW
at 2+75S ) M86-10 hole.
VII- CONLUSIONS S RECOMMANDATIONS;
Results of the induced polarization survey carried out over the Nahanni Mines property indi
cate 5 anomalous zones. Few zones mentionned before in this report should be tested to see the cause of
these conductors. It is also recommanded that this I. P. survey be extended to the west where the ano
malies seems to continue along the same geological contact.
