Indoor aerial trekking ropes courses can be added to unused roof spaces by either attaching directly to the building or on legs and can be designed to meet the space and commercial of the location.

The following items need to be considered when designing a course:

• What market are you looking to cater for? • Do you have access to the building structural

drawings to confirm the ropes course can be supported?

• Are there any false ceilings or decorations that will require exposure prior to the work beginning?

• Is there enough clearance, it will need at least two metres in each direction?

• Will participants using the course pose a danger to people below?

Costs Costs are dependant on a number of factors including the number of elements, connection to the existing structure and location with examples within this document from £75,000 upwards (all costs are plus UK Vat).

Safety systems There are a number of safety systems that can be installed on the course, all are continuous and allow the participants to remain connected to the course at all times.

Niko rail track based systemThe most accessible of the safety system, a trolley runs within a rail which allows for a participants to smoothly traverse the elements. It also allows less abled participants to use the course will the assistance of an instructor.

Multi directional track based systemJM Adventure has designed a system that will offer all the quality and safety of a track based system but with the advantage of offering multi directional options.

Clic-ItThis semi continuous smart belay system allows for a more adventurous course and the option to have a multi directional course.

Designed for a 3-7 to seven age range the junior trekking system can provide the client with a fun and interactive ropes course experience.

TrainingStaff can be trained, assessed and certified by Vertex Instructor Training Ltd, the UK's leading ropes course training company. Training will should cover operations procedures for the ropes course, correct use of PPE, access, inspections and rescues, challenge by choice and development skills. The duration of the training course will depend on the experience of the staff using the course, Training programmes can accommodate up to ten members of staff to attend a site specific trying course. The daily rate is £400.00 + Vat per day excluding mileage and accommodation costs.

Inaugural inspection To ensure your new course complies with the current EN15567 standard we recommend the structure and supporting paper work needs to be independently checked by a type A inspector.
