Installation and service

Grand Slam equipment can be installed by qualifiedpersonnel, but we recommend that our experienced fitters either oversee or install our equipment to ensure that the correct operation and safety standards are met.Our installation service is available across Australia andoverseas.

BB910Full size Armour-plate glass backboard, ring and net.Glass backboards are commonly used instead of timber backboardsat venues where spectators are positioned behind playing areas.This model features full size 12mm thick armour-plate glass supportedby 50mm x 50mm SHS frame. Glass is siliconed directly to the frameand is cushioned from bottom frame support with closed cell foam.Corner aluminium supports screwed to the main frame act as extrasecruity and hold the glass snugly in place. Indoor basketball support beams

All indoor basketball systems requiresupport beams which should beconsidered during the design phase.

Beams can be fitted to run parallel to the face of the backboard (‘Beam’system) or perpendicular the face ofthe backboard (‘Rail’ system).

Please consult Grand Slam fortechnical information regardingrecommended basketball beam sizesand placement. Grand Slam can alsodesign and install the appropriatesupport beams if required.

The following Reference guide: Indoorbasketball support beams applies to all indoor basketball systemsincluding: BB1003, BB1004, BB1005Stadia system, BB1006 Stadia system,BB1010, BB1020, BB1022 andBB1024. All of these systems areengineer certified.

Basketball support beams are alsoengineer certified and, if supplied andinstalled by Grand Slam, an engineercertificate will be issued on completionof the project.

CDC3Side Drawn CurtainRun on an overhead tracking system. Curtains can be split and drawn to each side or made in one piece and drawn to one side only. When curtains are split, a 300mm overlap is allowed when in the closed position. Brackets are positioned on one or both sides of building to store the curtain in the open position. Rollers are positioned at 600mm centres; netting and vinylare held vertically by two nylon ropes which are attached to each roller. Draw rope operates curtain from one side ofbuilding and is tensioned to keep pressure on rope while opening and closing. System can be changed from manual to electric winch if required. Preference to type of operation must be requested before manufacture of system. Total weight including tracking is approximately 7kg per lineal metre.

Grand Slam manufactures a large range of durable, fully demountable score benches. All framework is 25mm galvanisedpowder-coated SHS, covered in heavy duty MDF. Bench tops are made from white HMR melamine for easy cleaning.All score benches are equipped with good quality lockable, non-marking urethane wheels. Score benches can also be equipped with optional bench indicator modules:

Each of these indicators is controlled via the IA-CC10 control console, not manual switches, allowing the console operator to display indicators when required, quickly and easily.
