ANNUAL REPORT
ACADEMIC YEAR 2013-14
ACADEMIC HIGHLIGHTS We are a proud family of 1968 students and 100 teaching and non teaching staff.
The highlight of the past year was the excellent academic achievements of the children of Class X (AISSSE). A batch of 78 children appeared for the exams and we are proud to announce that we had a 100% result with 20 students getting a perfect 10 CGPA.
ACADEMIC HIGHLIGHTS
• The topper of the school was Shivam Utreja
who scored 96.2%. The second place was
shared by Shreya Nair and Siddharth Mittal
who scored 96% and third place was taken up
by Vaishwi Sinha who scored 95%.
Congratulations to all the students for their
results.

• Divya Jeganathan our School Topper scored 95.4 % in the AISSC Exams.
• Our subject toppers were:
– Divya and Divyansh both scored 98 marks in Math.
– Divya and Sumedh both scored 94 in English.
– Rutuja scored 93 in Hindi.
– Divya scored 91 in French.
– Amey Pandit scored 94 in Sanskrit.
– Divya scored 96 in Science.
– Sumedh, Divya and Chaitrali scored 95 in Social Studies.
ACADEMIC HIGHLIGHTS • Our children participated in the TCS Quiz
conducted by Tata Consultancy Services.
• The Pune chapter of the CBSE Heritage Quiz 2012-2013 was held at Delhi Public School on 19th October. Our school also participated in it and made it to the on-stage final round among the top six schools from the entire Pune-Mumbai region.
• Children from Std. II to X have participated in the Science and Math Olympiad exams.
Achievements
• Our Chief Executive Principal- Mrs. Vijaya Joshi
is nominated as the President of the Sahodaya
School Complex.
• We proudly organized and hosted the
Sahodaya Football Championship 2013. 20
schools participated in the event that spanned
3 days.

Social Responsibility
• INS collected a total of 1240 Kg of Dal, Rice,
Sugar and Wheat from the students and
do ated it to NGO’s like Bhogawati Sanskriti
Mandal (Kolhapur), Gurukul, Ashray and
Chaitanya Mitra Mandal.
Workshops for teachers and
students
•Brazil scholarship student Ms. Tabatha came to our school on 14th June to share her Olympiad experiences with the secondary children of our school. She is a student of Harward University and is in Pune as part of her research work on education.
•Retd. Brig. D.V. Kumar spoke to the children of Classes IX to XII about army as a career option and shared his experiences with the children.
•We have tied up with Keep Moving-an initiative by Sadhu Vaswani Mission to help the students of class 10+ ready for the future, by teaching them the attitudes to excel with a smile in life, no matter what life has to offer them!
Workshops for teachers and
students
•Habib Animatos – a robotics training and research
academy visited our school over a period of two
weeks to give demonstration on the science of
robotics to the children of Class VI to XII.
•ThinkLabs conducted a 3 day teacher training
programme for the science teachers of the primary
section.
•Our Vice Principal-Mrs. Sunita Desai attended a 5
day workshop conducted by Shikshangan on CCE
practices and techniques.

and songs.
National festivals and were celebrated to
inculcate patriotism and make the
students feel proud to be Indians..
Celebrations • We also celebrated Sports Day (India) on
29th August to commemorate the birthday
of Major Dhyanchand – I dia’s Ho key Magician.
• India adopted Hindi as an official language
on 14th Sept 1949. This day is celebrated
every year as Hindi Diwas since 1953.
• Janmashtami was celebrated with great
aplo to ele rate Lord Krish a’s irthday.
