CHARACTERS

KANSAS

Two Dimensions: Kick and Ass. That is until we learn more about her. But a fine melding of Jay (Jay and Silent Bob) and Sarah Conner. Foul mouthed, impatient, wants everybody in the room to think/know she’s one step ahead. Hates being out of her element but keeps it hidden the best she can, and has a distrust of all technology.

Because Kansas is ready to kick ass at ay moment her training uniform is something practical. Pants ripped from her last fight and a halter-top are all the accessories she needs to go with her belts for ammo and weapons.

STRONG MAN

A workbot Kansas finds on the first leg of her quest to retrieve OZ. He’s our scarecrow because he’s kinda dumb. Not that dumb though. Basically Iron Giant+Groot. CALL VIN DIESEL!

Actor will be wearing a robot style helmet with either half or full-face coverage (pending director preference). Possible construction: [Head] bucket(s) cut to style and painted with a metallic finish; burlap/monks cloth mask that peeks through bucket shaping [Body] a breast plate with shoulder plates attached that come to the arm. Forearm sleeves with fake tarnished metal plating. Dump truck tires are attached to both leg and forearm armor. To enter cart mode, Strong Man enters the Yoga child pose position with elbows pulled toward the body. This pulls the tires on either side of his forearms and lower legs inward toward the body and places the back piece of truck bed armor over the actor.

TIN RONIN

A former enforcer for Elfesto, he watched his family be put to death by his former boss before being beaten and cast out into the junk yard wastelands. A warrior whose lost all hope. He is Kansas’ commanding officer and she’s going to put his ass in gear.

Tin Ronin wears his old beaten down Elfesto army uniform over a distressed "wife beater" tank top. In addition, he wears "army" olive/dusty green worn-out canvas pants with high-grade army issued combat boots in sand or tan with an extreme layer of dirt. For armor, he has an asymmetrical pauldron on his fighting arm. This pauldron is encrusted with with junk that has accumulated on him like barnacles.

LEO

A human hacker whose number one goal is to stay alive. His number two goal is to somehow free the minds of as many enslaved humans as he can. Kansas will help him see that it’s worth compromising the first goal for the second.

SLY

Leo’s adopted, genetically engineered humanoid battle-cat.

A "Neck piece" and helmet that turns the actors head into the whole of Sly the cat, piloting an animatronic body.

GLENADA

BLUE - The supposedly “Good” Witch of the North. Her idea of tranquility is a land of docile servants. But ya know, she’s the real big bad.

The bodice of Glenada's dress resembles the same ice that surrounds her frozen heart. Her vinyl sleeves match her skirt, which features a tear-away over skirt for her battle transformation. Glenada's hat is the most traditional of the four witches, but the crown is wrapped in a ring of ice crystals. Construction materials: Vinyl (clear and tonal); Tin foil; Rhinestones. Research: Heat gun shaping of vinyl, fake icicle options for crown.



ELFESTO

RED - The West Witch, and a bad motherfucker who has the witches from East and South marching to her drum. She has one single desire: to be the head bitch in charge of OZ for all time. She doesn’t care if people under her starve or thrive, just that they know she’s calling the shots.

Never one for rules, Elfesto's hat features a brimless design with flaps. When ready for battle, her skirt tears away to give freedom of movement and dramatic effect.

SOUTH

GREEN - The flip-flopping Witch. Also speaks in Renaissance Fair English.

The witch of the South has the most connection to the old ways of witchcraft from a time before the post-apocalypse. Her powers of technomancy have given her pointy ears and a single ram horn. Her dress uses cutouts and overlays to speak mystic symbolism, but does anyone know what they mean anymore?

EAST

YELLOW - The Witch stupid enough to travel back in time and pick a fight with Kansas. The most Loyal of the Witches. But Loyal to who? Also a Valley Girl.

MASTER

Kansas’ teacher and father(ish) figure from the post-apocalypse. He has a deep affection for Kansas that he cannot be allowed to express because… he knows things. NO SPOILERS!

Large wrap-around pants with a brimmed hat akin to the martial arts masters of ancient Asia. Body tattoos of algorithms and equations.



FLYING MONK

Elfesto’s fighting force. Black-robed human martial arts acrobats.

Flying Monks wear a robe with cocoon coat shaped sleeves that resemble wings when arms are held wide. Their head is covered with a hood with two flaps that fall to the front and back of the body when worn. Along this is a trim/detail connecting the Monks to Elfesto's color palette. All this is worn over the Munchie Puppeteer costume: Dark harem pants and combat boots with a simple shirt. Priority 3 item is an added belt inspired by muscled gorilla stomachs.

MUNCHIE

Drugged out jawas. Remnants of human civilization subverted and lost. Given the right drugs they can be fairly formidable. Known to track via sound with creepy clicking noises for echolocation.

Their look is modeled largely after the style of Brian Froud puppets with room for creating four distinct faces. The puppeteer holds the puppet by a rod attached to the back of the puppet skull. Traditionally, in Bunraku a second and third puppeteer control the right and left arm, but the Munchies would be controlled by a second rod attached to an arm (similar to the hand and rod style of the Muppets). Proportionally, they have a 6-Head height ratio, with the extra length taken primarily from the limbs. Average height is 26-32", or knee height on an average pre-apocalypse male.

TOTO

(Tactical Overlay To Oz), TOTO is a user interface program connected to the Emerald O.S. and appears as a schnauzer on a digital armband. TOTO is basically a really advanced Siri. Not a legit A.I., but designed and based off of OZ.

Our narrator and the A.I. operating system the Witches are fighting over. OZ was a living thing once. A talking dog probably. We never really see him, unless he is being transported in a device like an iPod. But he was a dude with a plan to preserve mankind. The source code can take his personality out of the equation and allow any other to take its place controlling the Emerald OS. What would a system with the will of someone truly evil look like?



WEAPONS & ITEMS

KANSAS' TONFA

Kansas' Weapon of choice. Direct. Close. Controlled. What better way to combat the evils of technology than using something that is so analog it doesn’t even have moving parts? Carved with symbols and phrases- more navigational reminders and notes to herself rather than ""mantras" or "inspiration" Kansas doesn’t have time for that shit. You want inspiration? Look at a fucking Cat poster hanging on a clothesline. AND SET IT ON FIRE. The Weapons are also sealed in hyperbolic sealant so blood just falls off of them.

TIN RONIN'S SWORD ARITHMIA

Arithmia - A sword hilt, which creates stronger, hits on each heartbeat of the user. The sword hilt is the literal upgrade as it registers each heartbeat and strengthens the molecular bonds of the sword.

STAGE COMBAT SWORD + Non-permanent Plastic Ornamentation- based off of the Master Sword from Legend of Zelda but in red

STRONG MAN'S MEMORY UPGRADE

Gives Strong Man greater memory in order to process commands faster, raising speed and reaction time. Permanent upgrade to Logic Board.

GLENADA'S WAND

The Aurasphere - A summoning weapon powered by the relationship of the user and the Aurora Borealis of the North- the further North the more powerful its summoning magic. The Aurasphere summons floating bubbles, which freeze, shatter, and shard into enemies. Kind of like the yellow angry bird, each bubble has homing properties to target enemies individually. and drop on foes.

Wood and Plastic- Lights Long staff with ornamental "globe" on top, like a snow globe, frosted over with a stunning blue light burning inside (ideally it would pulse up and down- and get "caught" in the frosted globe.

ELFESTO'S WAND

The Flarepalm A wand that Manifests a Firey hand extending the reach and range of the user with devastating physical attacks with Flare bolt magic. This wand is like a pointer that controls where the manifested hands goes- this is very reminiscent of video game bosses that are hands or pairs of hands- free floating hand made of fire? Terror.

Wooden wand with fabricated plastic "dome" with a grid of highly reflective black lines. The dome is translucent (minus the grid lines) and functions like a conductors baton



SOUTH'S WAND

The Plamsawhip 2.0 - An unwieldy beam of Neon green generated by an enchanted Hourglass which dictates the cool down period the wand required before use again. The Hourglass is the core of the Wand, and can be flipped to utilize the alternate side of the wand extending usage at all times, but the user must pay close attention to the Hourglass volume as using it when empty will result in severe burns on the wielders hand and arm and sporadic result in plasma trail.

Plastic + Liquid- Fabricated Hourglass on top of a plastic handle with a hand guard. All plastic: all the time. This weapon won’t have any electric parts, but will have an opening chamber to change out liquids for running maintenance. The effect for this wand is a giant shield of green plasma energy with solar flare like rays of plasma that curl off the sphere erratically and randomly hitting foes.

EAST'S WAND

The Lovedazzler- A wand powered by Love, this wand delivers a weaker in power hit, but has a wider range and debuffs other wands making their attacks “Smaller” (literally changes the size of output from other wands.

Plastic and wood- a "dumb prop" it has no moving parts but will be very. very. Very glittery (and sealed to keep any glitter particulate from dropping off.

LF BOMBS or "LightFlare Bombs: (set of 3- they may be the last 3 left)

Utilizing tiktok shells welded scraps and mechanical parts, These vessels hold ghosts of other munchies that "seep out" when thrown- a flash of light followed by a munchies ghost escaping (Silhouette similar to munchies design)

Plastic balls distressed with multicolor bottle caps attached with hot glue. Super cheap. Very effective.

LTB ("Lion, Tiger, Bear")

A trio elemental weapon. Mass-produced over thirty years prior, these were developed for use of a now defeated and extinct army. (The rendering shows the weapon as it was originally produced "New" but there is significant distress to the metal.) Three Beam shots- Fire, Ice, and Plasma. The three bolts are devastatingly powerful, but after the three shots are used, the weapon is useless.

PVC PIPING- Duct tape- spray paint- cardboard- allllll the hot glue. This will be made specifically to balance with a counterweight on the back for ease on actor. Ideally this unit will be able to go up- fire 3 shots and be dropped without ruining it (foam facings on the "box" portion

KING OF THE FOREST

A weapon that is bio reactive, one of a kind, fabled to have been stripped from the arm of the Guardian of the Forest. The King of the Forest fires Light and fast Needles of light that cannot strike a plant or tree. In the right situation this is an extremely effective weapon, as the bolts will weave between trees until they find their target. This weapons needles, even if pointed straight at a tree, would weave around it.

Plastic modeling medium, epoxy. This will be a Frankenstein of dollar store kids toys, spray-painted and able to "latch" onto Kansas' back with out a lot of thought.
