20 Indian Soldiers were martyred on 15th and 16th June 2020 following
an India-China border clash. The Union Government of India, State Governments and other entities have cancelled some of the existing
contracts and sponsorships given to Chinese companies. This is a current compilation of the impacted Chinese companies.
Other warnings given by institutions like CERT warning of cyberattacks by
the Chinese army are further compounding the challenges that are being
faced by Chinese companies in India.

CERT Cyber Alert: Ministry of Home Affairs
Impact: Reputation of China
On 21st June 2020, MHA issued an official circulation warning
about a possible Cyberattack by the Chinese Army.
In the guise of a Free Covid-19 Test, Chinese cyber warriors
could be carrying out a massive phishing attack, the report said.
It further cautioned to watch out for mails from ids like

information.

Maharashtra Tender Cancelation
Impact: Great Wall Motors, PMI Electro Mobility and Hengli
Engineering
Maharashtra Government has paused three projects signed with
Chinese companies. The projects, with proposed investments
worth over Rs 5,000 crore, were finalised at the ‘Magnetic
Maharashtra 2.0’ investor meet held just before the border
skirmish.
"Yes, the decision was taken after consulting the centre. We
have put the projects on hold and are waiting for further
directives from the centre," Maharashtra Industry Minister
Subhash Desai.

MMRDA cancels Monorail project tender
Impact: China Rail Road Corporation & Build Your Dream
Mumbai’s transport and infrastructure development authority has
cancelled the bidding process for the design, manufacture,
supply, testing and commissioning of 10 monorail rakes because
both bids that it received were from Chinese manufacturers -
China Rail Road Corporation and Build Your Dream.

Haryana Power Tender Cancelation
Impact: Beijing SPC Environment Protection Tech and Shanghai
Electric Corp
Haryana Government has cancelled tenders with Chinese companies
for installing pollution control equipment worth INR 780 crore at two of
its power plants at Yamunanagar and Hisar.
"In both the tenders, L-1 bidders (lowest bid) are Chinese and the
prices received are competitive. Though the rate received were
competitive, however, government of Haryana has decided to cancel
these tenders and to float fresh tenders based on the domestic
bidding on the pattern of NTPC (National Thermal Power
Corporation), who is allowing bidders which are registered in India
only," the Haryana Government statement said.

Uttar Pradesh Government ban on Chinese electric meters and
equipment
Impact: Hexing Electrical Company Limited
Uttar Pradesh State Government decided to ban installation of
Chinese electricity meters and equipment and Chinese
products that are used in energy transmission in the state.
The State energy department also banned China-made meters
for installation in the state though these meters were supplied
by an Indonesian company. It was understood later that the
smart meters were from a Chinese company
