Wind , a distant bell , an imaginary procession like in a dream , the scratchy colors of the tundra, the Pow -wow fire, some laughing, shadows; Tikatika is an imaginary musical journey , crossbred and spicy. A small kitchen enriched by sounds , noises and notes. Odors , perfumes giving the feeling of sus-pended time , mysterious, full of chants and incan-tations . A kaleidoscope of peoples.

Combining the music of yesterday and today , Ti-kaTika is built around technical audio-video digital and traditional acoustic Instrumentarium. Com-posed by Simon Pomarat (drums , jugs, whistles, tense and relaxed skin … ), and Matthieu Mary (vo-cals, sitar , guitarimbao , jaw harp and flutes) , the musical duo is joined by Jeremie Bellot and Josselin Fouché (Video Mapping).

Let yourseLf be transported by a fascinating music, fuLL of energy, some-times caLm, sometimes warLike, overLapping the steppes at a gaLLop in a three dimensionaL worLd ...

Tikatika it is an encounter between two musicians, several sonorities and continents. Through their travels, Matthieu Mary and Simon Pomarat, glean and collect various instruments. Together they decide to offer a sound narration crossing geogra-phical boundaries, evoking the Mongolian steppes, the Tibetan plateau, or Native American prairies.

Enter a world woven of mythologies and folk tales in which Samsara, speaks of successive cycles of life, Coyote shows you the way and Ketchak take you to trance.Based on the types of recitations close from the Konnakol Indian or onomatopoeia inspired by Asian oral theory, TikaTika, literal translation of the "tic-tac", blend the temporalities and plays with the pulsations.

Thanks to new technologies, Tikatika offers a show combining music and Videomapping. A bamboo structure like a Asian scaffolding stretched with canvases, become projection surface conducive to the introduction of forms, images and lights, like a magic lantern, a sort of giant kaleidoscope.

Stringed instruments, woodwind, and percussion, interact, multiply, meet and develop sound loops to infinity. The duo mixes tones, juggles his Instru-mentarium, fabricates musical conversations and invites you to a journey without boundaries.
