Tarun Tahiliani

He is an Indian designer based from Mumbai and is known for his Bridal wear designs.

His signature is combining traditional aesthetics with modern design.

One of his famous work is “Kumbhback” which was again anexample of his signature “Traditional designs on modern silhoutte”

This design was inspired from “Maha Kumbh Mela”

Another of his famous work was the bridal wear he designed for the British heiress Jemima Khan in 1995 when she married famous cricketer Imran Khan

This was Tarun’s first work that got noticedinternationally

He comes from a family ofNaval Officers from Mumbaiand his father having served as “Chief of the Naval Staff” and also as the Governor of the Sikkim

He studied in Doon School and didhis Business Management studiesin United states of America

He met his future wife Sailaja, while doing his studies in US. She was a student of economics but also a model for brands like Pierre Cardin
