India’s Start-up India programme is a comprehensive action plan to foster entrepreneurship and promote innovation.

Making easy finance a possibility, the MUDRA scheme provides finance of upto one million rupees.

Tinkering labs in more than 900 schools have been established under the Atal Innovation Mission to foster innovation and entrepreneurship among children.

Young entrepreneurs in India are vehicles of change and transformation for a New India.

WHAT IVANKA TRUMP SAID?

The transformational change brought about by Narendra Modi and his rise from a humble background to the Prime Minister of India is exemplary.

This is the first time that women make up the majority of the 1,500 entrepreneurs selected to attend the event.

From doctors, scientists to engineers and architects, Indiansare ahead be it discovering life-saving technologies and building modern wonders, to reaching the Moon and Mars.

Digital technology has become a great enabler which has made way for efficient service delivery as well as governance. Empowerment through digital access is a significant objective of the Government. CYBER4ALL- Moving ahead at the 5th Global Conference on Cyberspace

One of the largest conferences on cyberspace. GCCS held in India focused on a secure and inclusive cyberspace for sustainable development. The conference saw a gather of industry experts, policy makers, international leader, think tanks and experts who discussed and shared knowledge about the dynamic cyber world.



At the event, the Prime Minister felicitated winners of the Global Cyber Challenge called Peace-a-thon which was held on MyGov. Hundreds of teams from the country India as well as other countries participated in the challenge to showcase their skills.

UMANG- Bringing Government services under one appPrime Minister Narendra Modi recently launched Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance (UMANG) which brings all government services on a single platform. The launch of the app is another example of the Government’s efforts to integrate digital technology with Governance for transparency, accountability and easy access for citizens.

100 million Soil Health Cards distributed in first phase

STORIESOn the occasion of World Soil Health Day which is celebrated on 5th December, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Radha Mohan Singh traced the progress of Soil Health Card distribution as well as launched a new app for the benefit of field-level workers.



100 million SHCs have been distributed in the first phase (2015-17).

The SHC app will register sample details at the time of sample collection with location coordinates.

Thorough testing of soil samples for 12 parameters including micronutrients.

Crop-wise recommendations on correct dosage of nutrients to improve soil health.

Increased productivity at low cost of production.

SOIL HEALTH CARDS DISTRIBUTED

National Nutrition Mission to address malnutritionThe Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved a holistic scheme to ensure adequate nutrition to all with a three year budget of Rs 9046.17 Crore commencing from 2017-18. National Nutrition Mission is one such initiative which will monitor, supervise, fix targets and guide the nutrition related interventions across the Ministries. The scheme would map various other schemes and monitor them real-time.

During a review meeting to reduce under nutrition, the Prime Minister called out for a focused and integrated approach to achieve measurable results by 2022, the 75th anniversary of Independence.

PM Modi flags off Hyderabad Metro RailPrime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first phase of the Hyderabad Metro Rail project from the Miyapur station. Marking the launch of the much awaited plan, it is set to transform the landscape of the historic city.

The Rs 14,800 crore metro covers a stretch of 72 kms spread over 3 high density corridors with 66 stations.

Reducing the cost of its electric traction energy bills, Indian Railways achieved a cumulative savings of over Rs 5000 crore in nearly 2 years by procuring power directly under Open Access arrangements.



Indian Navy gets its first woman pilotShubhangi Swaroop, from Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh created history by becoming the Navy’s first woman pilot. The milestone was praised by the Government as representative of the quantum leaps in women's rights the country is making.

While Shubhangi will soon be flying Maritime Reconnaissance aircraft, the Navy also got three other women cadets who are the country’s first women officers at the Naval Armament Inspectorate (NAI).
