Academic Assessment

• Strengths– ESP used wisely/ enforced ESP standards– Encouraged company to use their resources– Academic incentives – Highest Battalion GPA last semester

• Weaknesses– Improve organization/accountability of academic tests for company

records– Class absences being checked by the cadets– Bottom 1/3 of GPA were upper-class cadets (too much focus on the

knobs)

Military Assessment• Strengths– Formation accountability – Parade performance– Inspection performance

• Weaknesses– Still getting used to the new all-in system– Cadets don’t check the weekend duty roster– Cadets still doing the wrong thing when no one is looking

(14 upper-class cadets left India Company (for discipline or honor violations), 10 of whom left school

– Too few cadets qualifying for Regimental Rank Boards

Company Commander Comments• Largest Challenges:

Individuals still don’t want to follow the rules Cadets not keeping MRI standards towards end of the year regardless of being told

repeatedly Having strict of formation discipline throughout the company

• Largest Successes: Being able to change the anti-female culture Being able to place top 5 in multiple parades Being able to initiate the end to the “snitch” culture

• Largest Frustrations (by class): 4C: Didn’t get the class to grasp the concept to come forward about hazing when it

occurred 3C: Wasn’t able to prevent hazing/ alcohol violations 2C: Wasn’t able to get the class to police each other/ hold each other to standards 1C: Not being able to get all my classmates to participate at ring day/ graduation due to

HT/WT failures and PFT failures
