‘SAVINGS AND QUALITY OF LIFE’The energy that comes from the sun is the most economical and cost-effective. Its ability to produce heat enables us to provide comfort at low cost.
THERMAL SOLAR ENERGY
WHY CHOOSE SOLAR THERMAL ENERGY? WHAT DOES TERMICOL OFFER?The sun is the main energy source of the Earth, giving rise to most of the primary energies we use: fossil fuels, biomass, wind. All of these are consequences of the existence of the sun and its relative proximity. Direct use of it also enables us to obtain immediate benefi ts in the form of electricity or heat. This latter form of harnessing the sun is the most economical option for producing thermal energy.
While other systems need to consume energy during the process of producing heat, solar energy systems enable this to be carried out without the need to use other types of energy.
The ability of these systems to generate heat can reach levels of coverage, depending on location, of up to 70% of demand. The cost of a kilowatt hour generated offsets the investment (systems can pay for themselves within a few years with the savings made) and reduces maintenance costs. This cost is, without doubt, the lowest of any means of thermal generation during the long useful life of these reliable and sustainable systems.
Termicol offers an extensive range of solar thermal energy products for all types of solutions:
Three ranges of fl at-plate solar collectors.
All types of support structures.
Prefabricated systems, such as thermosyphon, forced-circulation and drain-back.
Storage tanks of all sizes and systems.
All types of accessories for solar thermal energy installations.
Panels and accessories for swimming pool heating systems.

The grid confi guration is valid for any solar energy installation because of its reduced load losses.
High-strength ultrasonic welding.
Four connection points for assembly in any confi guration: series, parallel or array.
GRID-TYPE
Grid-type fl at-plate solar collectors consist of a network of tubes in their interior through which a fl uid circulates to convey thermal energy to the point of use. Absorbers consist of several small-diameter vertical tubes connected to two larger-diameter header tubes. Fluid fl ows in parallel in the same way through all of the tubes as a result of the ratio between the two tube widths.
One of the main characteristics of this type of absorber is the reduced loss of dynamic load that it exerts on the fl uid fl owing inside. This makes it suitable for use in thermosyphon circulation systems.
Another important characteristic is the possibility of connecting them in arrays by means of the four side inlets they have, achieving a similar confi guration to the unit collector, only larger. By doing so, signifi cant savings can be made due to the reduced number of connection elements that are integrated into the installation to which they belong.

MEANDER-TYPE
Meander-type fl at-plate solar collectors feature a tube arrangement through which fl uid fl ows in a serpentine manner. In Termicol’s T-MS collector product family, the meander-type absorber consists of a tube connected to two horizontal collectors with larger diameters to provide four connection inlets and enable them to be joined in an array.
One of the main applications of this type of collector is its use in Termidrain systems because of the ease with which air can be extracted from the collector when the system starts operating. It is also suitable for large installations when the design enables it to work in low fl ow.

A connection system that reduces the amount of pipework that feeds each area of the collection fi eld. It is limited to a maximum number of elements to prevent loss of performance in the fi nal collectors and pressure due to expansion in their collecting pipes.
The main characteristic of parallel connection is that performance in the collection system is more uniform with all areas working with similar inlet and outlet temperatures. The main drawback is that they produce greater total fl ow rates.
When a collector or collector array is connected in series to another collector or collector array, a higher outlet temperature is produced, thereby reducing total fl ow rates. Not all of the collectors however work with the same performance.
Mixed connection is suitable for large installations, enabling a reduction in total fl ow rate while partially making performance uniform in different areas of the installation.
Collectors can be connected in different ways. This makes it possible to achieve different thermal behavior to suit the application for which energy is being supplied.

A suitable system for collective consumption of hot water in hotels, hospitals, sports centers, etc.
The centralization of production improves system effi ciency and reduces overall energy consumption.
A recommended system for residential buildings with its main advantage lying in the individualization of storage, keeping the solar generation system centralized.
To control individual consumption, it is necessary to install an energy meter at the entrance of each dwelling. There are two types: with external heat exchanger to separate the heating circuit from the distribution circuit and without heat exchanger, which is only recommended in small buildings.
Installation recommended for residential buildings in which space is scarce in dwellings.
The installation of an buffer storage tank partially centralizes storage, enabling the size of the individual tank to be reduced.

Solar thermal systems with collectors are suitable for providing low temperature heating.
The use of a combined storage tank can produce DHW and heat simultaneously, thereby saving on space and reducing the investment.
The low thermal temperature required by indoor swimming pools makes solar thermal systems with glazed collectors suitable for heating swimming pool tanks.
When required to be used throughout the year, the yields obtained are very high as collection is carried out at low average temperatures.
This system enables the swimming season to be extended by two or three months either side of summer. Unglazed plastic collectors are suitable for this type of pool, enabling spring and autumn temperatures to approach those of the summer months.

eXternal protection
As a manufacturer and designer of solar systems, Termicol includes in its equipment protection systems that make their lives longer - enameled: the steel of the storage tanks is enameled to reduce corrosion
- Magnesium anode: the cathodic protection system is an active protection system which consumes this protective element: the anode. Therefore, it is mandatory to replace it in time, according to the characteristics of the water forconsumption.
As an addition to the protection elements integrated in theTermicol equipment, we recommend the installation of an external system placed at the inlet of the equipment. The elimination of calcium ions before entering the tank is an economical and efficient way to protect the storage systems.

start upProper start up of the equipment is essential for their right functioning and durability. To do this it is necessary to fill it in correctly and prevent damages at the tank. For this only a a few simple steps shown below must be followed.

Operation with a purification pump via a motorized three-way valve with differential temperature regulation.
This type of connection can be selected as a general rule provided that the panels are not mounted more than 6 meters above the surface of the water. In the purification system’s pressure line, a motorized three-way valve is installed. The differential temperature regulation enables the valve to be changed when the operating temperature is higher than the temperature of the swimming pool water. The flow from the filter is then pumped through the panels and the heated water flows back through a T-shaped fitting to the filter circuit.
Operation with own pump and differential temperature regulation separate from the filter circuit.
This type is used if the position of the filter is difficult to access. By means of a submerged pipe, the swimming pool water is sucked out, pumped through the panels and returned as heated water. The differential temperature regulation also ensures that the pump only functions when energy is gained. If the pump is mounted above water level and at a transportation height of over 5 m, it is necessary to install a check valve.

‘HARNESSING THE POWER OF THE SUN’
Every 15 minutes, the surface of the Earth receives enough sunlight to meet the energy needs of the entire world for a whole year.
· Photovoltaic systems do not require sophisticated maintenance. Solar modules also have a proven useful life of more than 25 years.
· As the technology is modular, photovoltaic installations have the fl exibility to adapt to various power requirements and can be expanded according to future needs.
· It helps to conserve resources. Our natural resources are scarce; oil, gas and uranium are becoming exhausted. Solar energy however is virtually unlimited and available in all corners of the world.
Solar energy is the most abundant source of energy available on our planet. Every 15 minutes, the surface of the Earth receives enough sunlight to meet the energy needs of the entire world for a whole year. Harnessing the power of the sun has proven to be a reliable method to produce energy and, today, entire countries obtain a signifi cant portion of their energy from solar panels.
Photovoltaic solar energy is one of the most environmentally-friendly sources of energy; it is clean, does not emit harmful gases and is currently one of the main weapons in the fi ght against the serious environmental problems facing the planet.
This energy enables electricity to be produced through the incidence of solar radiation on solar modules. The direct current that photovoltaic panels provide can be converted into alternating current by an inverter, which enables it to be stored for autonomous consumption or transformed into conventional electricity for introduction into the grid.
There are many reasons to choose solar energy:
· It does not pollute and it is a clean way to generate electricity: renewable, economical and environmentally-friendly.
· It is an energy that is within everyone’s reach; it can generate electricity through installations on roofs, pergolas, or any available structure.
- 240 and 290 W modules.- Self-consumption kits.

Self-consumption is a method of saving energy in which the electricity production of the photovoltaic system coincides with the household’s power consumption, thus precluding the need to consume this energy from the power grid.
The main benefit of self-consumption is energy savings. Part of the energy consumed is produced with the resultant savings on electricity bills. If the continuous rise in electricity prices is also taken into account, producing energy in this way can pay for itself in very little time.
A second benefit of self-consumption is that energy losses in the grid are avoided as the electricity does not have to travel long distances. The current model of centralized generation results in 10% of electricity being lost during transmission and distribution.
Another benefit is that electricity is produced with clean technologies, thereby reducing the use of polluting fossil fuels (oil) and dependence on its consumption. Photovoltaic energy is the most suitable way to generate electricity for self-consumption in households.
Its modular installation enables it to be expanded very easily.

‘THE MAIN REASON IS ECONOMIC’Thermal energy is present in the air that surrounds us, even at low temperatures, and air heat pumps allows us to take advantage of this energy.
WHY CHOOSE AIR HEAT PUMPS?The main reason is economic. With an air/water heat pump, it is cheaper to heat water than with a traditional system. You can reduce water heating costs by up to 75%, although the exact fi gure depends mainly on where you live. With energy prices always on the rise, it is no surprise that these systems have gained in popularity in recent years and will continue to do so in the future.
The second reason for choosing an air/water heat pump is that it is environmentally-friendly. Thermal energy is present in the air that surrounds us, even at low temperatures, and aerothermic allows us to take advantage of this energy to heat water in a tank. To do so, the system uses a CFC-free gas, which contributes to the protection of the ozone layer. This energy from the outside air is used to heat hot water, producing far fewer CO2 emissions than any traditional system using fossil fuels.
The third reason is that the installation of the MONOBLOC system is very simple, as it is similar to an electric boiler of equal capacity, and one unit can meet 100% of domestic hot water needs. To achieve the best performance, it is advisable to take the air from a ventilated, unheated interior space, such as a ventilated garage, partially-covered verandah, attic or from the extraction of air from ventilation.
Another reason for choosing an air/water heat pump to provide clean domestic hot water in an economical and easy-to-maintain manner is that it is not necessary to install a natural gas supply, gas fl ues or chimneys, thereby reducing household CO2 emissions.

The monoblock-type heat pump for DHW has an integrated design. This system only needs to be connected to the cold water inlet and hot water outlet pipes, making installation much simpler than other water heating products equipped with heat pumps. The product is very compact, small, simple to install and easy to use. As the heat pump uses heat from the air, its consumption of energy is minimal, so much so that 70% of the heat generated is free.

BIOMASA
‘IT COMES DIRECTLY FROM NATURE’
Not only because of the energy savings it provides, but also because it is a totally ecological fuel which does not increase emissions of CO2 into the atmosphere.
WHY CHOOSE BIOMASS?When choosing a new heating system for the winter, it is 100% recommended to use biomass and, in particular, pellet stoves.
Not only because of the energy savings it provides, but also because it is a totally ecological fuel which does not increase emissions of CO2 into the atmosphere.
Biomass is a fuel that comes directly from nature, and the pellets, which are the most used fuel, consist of small cylinders of sawdust with a diameter of 5-6 mm and length of 10-25 mm. Pressing is carried out at high pressure and they are usually sold in sacks or bags, making them very easy to transport. They have to be stored in a dry place to prevent them from swelling and losing their properties, as moisture and water makes combustion slower and produces more smoke.
The pellets have a high calorifi c value, produce very little waste in the form of ash as a result of combustion, are easy to store and offer the possibility of application in stoves and boilers,
enabling them to function fully automatically. Their combustion also generates very low levels of CO2 emissions. They are a CO2-neutral fuel because their emissions are so small that they do not contribute to the greenhouse effect.
Energy savings obtained from pellets can be highly signifi cant as they have a much lower price compared to other fuels such as diesel, propane, butane or electricity.
Pellet stoves with forced-air circulation are equipped with a fan that constantly moves the hot air that the household produces. In this way, the heat spreads quickly around the room. The electronic control unit enables the power and fan speed to be controlled depending on requirements.
Pellet stoves operate fully automatically with a programmable timer and thermostat, i.e. with automated on and off functions. And the size of the tank and system determines how often the stove needs to be fi lled with pellets. Its design lends the living room a feeling of comfort and a pleasant and cozy atmosphere.
BIOMASSPRESENTATION

Pellet stoves produce warm air to heat the room where it is installed. They do not require a separate technical room and its installation is really easy. These pellet stoves generate heat by burning ¨pellet¨, which are small cilinders of pressed wood. They are of a high density and really compact. They do not require special conditions to maintain them and its high thermal power delivers high effi ciency and low amount of ash.

ADVANTAGES TERMICOL PELLET STOVES
silentReduced noise thanks to the screw motor moun-ted suspended; this ways it does not transmit noisy vibrations to the rest of the structure.
easy-cleaning in full autonomyEither for the fi rst start or for the routine maintenance, the stove does not require mandatory intervention of a technician. Even the extraordinary cleaning can be carried out directly by the user, by simply unscrewing three screws we can access the body of the machine and carry out the maintenance.
rational designWe design our stoves in order to ease any ins-tallation and maintenance operations. Rational housing of all the internal components, techni-cal solutions which facilitate access and inter-ventions to all parts of the stove, intuitive and effective electronics; this is the Termicol philo-sophy at the realization of our machines.
