INDEC VD 100 vacuum test device INDEC monitors  containers,  such  as  bottles,  jars  and  cans, testing them for leak tightness fully automatically within the production process by means of a non-contact inspection. Developed on the basis of the popular INDEC VA 200/220 test systems, INDEC VD 100 belongs to the latest generation of vacuum test devices. Equipped with a central unit, a vacuum sensor and product detection, the system offers the full range of measurement functions and provides, amongst other things, a cost-effective means of modernising existing measurement technology  without  having  to  replace  components  such  as ejectors.INDEC VD 100 can easily be integrated in existing installations and can be extended by adding optional components in order to obtain a fully independent system.

Central unit and connection unitThe newly designed central unit with 3.5“ touch screen and graphical user interface guarantees intuitive operation. The connection  unit,  which  is  fixed  to  the  central  unit,  makes it easy to connect all components directly. The unit can be fixed to the conveyor system itself or to the optional stand.

Vacuum sensorThe powerful optical sensor is suitable for all common closures, works  reliably  and  cannot  collide  with  containers  because there  is  ample  clearance.  The  sensor  tolerates  variations  in the dimensions of the containers, misalignment of containers and vibration of the conveyor. Moisture or fully formed water droplets  on  the  closures  do  not  affect  the  reliability  of  the measurements. Because of the large measuring distance, it is not necessary to adjust the sensor head manually for format changeovers involving containers of varying heights.

Light barrier and reflector for product detection High  immunity  to optical  interference  from the environment is  a  distinguishing  feature  of  the  light  barrier  as well  as  its rugged  metal  housing  which  is  detergent  and  disinfectant-proof and able to withstand high-pressure cleaning. The  light barrier  is mounted on  the  sensor  and  light barrier holding bracket and is adjustable.

Sensor and light barrier holding bracketThe holding bracket with fixtures for the vacuum sensor and light barrier unit can be adjusted in a vertical and horizontal direction  in accordance with  the height and position of  the container.  Integrated  scales  make  it  possible  to  reproduce the  settings  at  any  time.  The  values  of  the  settings  can be managed  in  the  testing software and can be shown on  the graphics display.

Optional componentsThe following components are available as optional extras and can be integrated quickly and easily as required:
