GENERAL The Fashion Treasure Hunt requires individuals and teams to answer questions

and solve clues. This year we are going paperless and the Fashion Treasure Hunt clues will be available to answer online. This means that each team must provide their own smartphone or tablet device and have mobile internet access (there is no free wifi available at either centre). Only one smartphone or tablet device should be used to complete the treasure hunt questions, however other devices may be used to look up information. Where a smartphone or mobile Internet device needs to be replaced, permission should be sought from the registration team. If your team does not have access to a device please let us know and we can provide you with a paper copy.

Each team must nominate a captain.

Team captains must be over 18 years.

Teams may include participants under the age of 18.

REGISTRATION Registration for the event commences at 12pm at Centre Court, Westfield

Belconnen on Saturday 2nd May and 12pm at Westfield Woden on 3rd May. Registrations will close at 12:40pm and no further teams can be registered after this time.

FASHION TREASURE HUNT RULES

THE HUNT The Fashion Treasure Hunt clues will be available to access at 1pm on the day

of the event. The link to the clues will be sent prior to the event but will be locked until the Fashion Treasure Hunt commences.

Teams will have 1 hour to solve and find as many clues as possible. (The clues are only available for 1 hour and will close once time is up.)

Each clue will be allocated points based on difficulty. Be smart and choose your clues wisely.

Bonus points are allocated to selected ‘Who Am I’ clues. The first three teams to solve the clue and go to that store will collect 10, 5 or 2 bonus points.

Fashion Treasure Hunt volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and to ensure teams and individuals are following the rules. Volunteers will also be on hand at the registration area. If a team or individual breaks the rules they may be disqualified from the hunt.

Teams must stay together. If a team member is separated from their team, has to leave early, or to stop for health reasons, they can rejoin later. However, the team member cannot work on the hunt while they are away from the rest of their team.

TREASURE HUNT ETIQUETTE Please be respectful of all other participants and be courteous to shoppers and

staff. No running at any time. Running or discourteous behavior may result in disqualification.

Do not enter any areas that are not accessible to the public. Note there are no clues in any car park or amenities areas.

Teams and individuals cannot help each other - we’re watching you!

Contestants participate at their own risk By submitting an application form, participants accept that they are participating in the [Fashion Treasure Hunt] at their own risk and release Westfield Shopping Centre Management Co. (A.C.T.) Pty. Limited ACN 008 612 002, each of the owner(s) of the Shopping Centre and each of their related bodies corporate, employees, agents and subcontractors, from all liability for personal injury, property damage, property theft and all other claims or actions of any kind whatsoever, arising as a result of or in connection with, directly or indirectly, their participation in the [Fashion Treasure Hunt], except to the extent such liability is caused by the negligence of the person(s) seeking to be released.

THE FINISH The team captain must hand in any bonus points to the registration desk once

your time allocated is completed. If you are completing the hunt on a paper copy, score sheets must be handed in within 1 hour. Points will be deducted for every minute it is late. The time will be recorded on the team’s score sheet.

The team captain must be available during the assessment of the scores.

The judges’ decision is final.

PRIZES No cash alternative to the prizes will be offered. The prizes are not

transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
