Inclusive Leadership
March is recognized as Women's History Month (WHM) with the 2018 theme “Nevertheless She Persisted”, honoring women who fight all forms of discrimination. We have a bit of our own historical first with Dean Eleanor Green serving as the first female Dean for the College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedi-cal Sciences in it’s 100 year history. CVM encourages everyone to reflect, celebrate, and enjoy this year’s highlighted month, celebrating women.
CVM is an inclusive leader in the field of Veterinary Medicine. The college
is proud to celebrate inclusion and diversity with highlighted monthly
programming. This month, TAMU–CVM spotlights :

The Texas Conference for Women provides connection, motivation, networking, inspiration, and skill building for thousands of Texas women each year. The 19th annual Texas Conference for Women will be held November 9, 2018 at the Austin Convention Center in Austin.
The mission of the Conference for Women is to promote, communicate and amplify the influence of women in the workplace and beyond. At our annual nonpartisan, nonprofit conferences, we bring together thousands of active professionals to connect, renew, and find inspiration in community.
We are committed to helping close the pay gap, eliminate gender discrimination and achieve parity in company leadership and on corporate boards. We inspire the next generation through our Young Women’s program and we support local nonprofit organizations.
The Conference for Women harnesses the collective wisdom, experience and energy of inspirational women and men of all ages and backgrounds in service of our values: supporting and giving back to our growing nationwide community.
