b. With an Elastrator~ expand rub­ber O-ring bushings and slip one onto each end of rope segment, 4 inches from end of rope.

c. Install ends of rope segments into set of compression fitting bodies. Seat rubber O-ring In com­pression fitting body and screw compression fitting cap onto body Caution: Do not overtighten com­pression fitting caps. This may ex­cessively restrict herbicide flo'l/ through wicks.

First. be sure to use polyester/acrylic rope! Field tests prove this specially developed wicking rope maintains rope satura­tion and wipes more ROUNDUP on weed foliage compared to the solid braid nylon rope A supplier of this rope type is listed reverse side.

Apply glue to prevent leakage from edges of grommet [Use adhesive such as 3-M Company Super Weather­strip Adhesive­Automotive) Seat new grommet and rope in hole.

Remove caps with compression fitting bodies.

Pull old ropes and O-rings out of PVC pipe reseNoir

Remove old O-rings and fitting caps from old ropes

Place caps and then new rubber O-rings on new ropes, positioning O-rings 4 inches from each end of l8-inch rope segment. Use an Elastrator to expand O-rings to place on rope

Place ends of new rope segments into compression fitting body, seating O-rings

~ Place and tighten caps on compression fitting bodies to hold new wicks in place. CAUTION: Do not overtighten compression fitting caps. This can excessively restrict herbicide flow through wicks.
