Inception Main Character

In the thriller film Inception Leonardo Dicaprio (the main character) has a certain appearance kept throughout the film, which is a clean and appealing appearance as he has looked after himself throughout the film. The appearance shows he most likely lives a good life style as he shows the successful businessman look throughout the film.

Costumes - during the film you see the main character, Leonardo Dicaprio wearing suits throughout as well as wearing a suit without a jacket. This is the main costume you see him wearing throughout the film. The appearance, which is being given off, is a smart businessman look, which is being portrayed with the appearance and dress code. The way the smart businessman look is being given off is through clothing; hairstyle as well as accessories for example, in the screenshot above you sees the main character (Leonardo Dicaprio) wearing a tailored suit with a tie, and a lavish watch on his wrist, and the finishing is the slick backed wall street hair cut that a successful businessmen would appear to have. The reasons for Christopher Nolan having Dicapro dressed in this certain way is to make him looks successful especially because he is a con artists so this successful look makes him look appealing to other people and shows he has control and power over others.

Props – in the screen shot above you see one of the first opening shots of the movie and there instantly props which are used for this scene. For example in the screen shot you see highlighted in red two props in the scene which you would see at a dining table which is there to set the mood and the scene of how its supposed to be set. Also in the screenshot above you see another prop on the left of the screen in blue which i can not make out what it is but I assume that its some sort of antique pot there to add to the background and the surrounding which suggests that he is in a china or japan which is the movie setting.

By the facial expressions and body language you can see that he is trying to portray a successful businessman and he is looking in a way where he is very much in control and is acting in a serious in the way in-order to gain trust in clients in-order to gain information and unravel peoples security.
