Gills Mark 50th Date
Celoron — Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Gill, 194 Allegheny Avenue, were honored by approximately 150 friends and relatives at an open house Sunday in observance of their 50th wedding anniversary.
The affair was given by their son, Glynn Gill, Wicks Avenue, West Ellicott, and their three granddaughters. Miss Glynnda Gill, West Ellicott. Mrs. Robert Pratt, and Mrs. Robert Eddy, both of Jamestown.
Miss Gill was in charge of the guest book, and Mrs. Pratt, Mrs. Eddy, and Mrs. Glynn Gill presided at the tea table. Aides were Mi's. Mary Bratt, Mrs. Hilma Anderson and Mrs. Floyd Young.
The former Maude Pryde and W. H. Gill were married March 12. 1902, in the Baptist parsonage at Youngstown, Ohio, by Rev. James Calvin.
They have lived in Celoron for

Miss Marie Cole Honored on Birthday
Ashvilte — Miss Elsie Wells and Miss Alberta Carlson gave a surprise party for Miss Marie Cole honoring her 16th birthday at the home of Miss Carlson. Games were played and the honored guest received many gins. Refreshments were served by the hostesses and Mrs. Carlsun.

Mrs. Kinney Hostess ToJGT Bridge Club
Ashville — ^Tie JGT bridge club met recently at the home of Mrs. Marcus Kinney. Prizes were awarded to Mrs. Earl Swart, Mrs. Milton Lloyd, and Mrs. Clark Jacobs. Mrs. William Fairbank won the guessing package. Refreshments were served by the hostess.

Liddells to Observe Silver Anniversary
West Ellery — Mr. and Mrs. William Liddell will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary Saturday evening at the home of Mrs. Corlyn Stowell. All members of tht Jolly Workers Club and friends and neighbors are invited to attend.

Warren Couple Married At Lander Parsonage
Lander — Jean Ann Paris and Harry Allen Lank, both of Warren, were married by
Rev. Gustav Erickson, pastor of the Lander Methodist Church Friday evening at the parsonage.
They were attended by Mrs. Nellie Lank and Warren J. Hamm.
MRS. HARRISON'S BIRTHDAY MARKED
SinclatrvlIIe —Mrs. C. T. Harrison was surprised on Sunday by 23 guests who called to celebrate her birthday. Among the guests were Jack Green, U.S. Navy, of Patuxent River, Md. Other guests were present from Medina, Niagara Falls, Newfane and Cassadaga.
57th Anniversary Observance Planned
Oorydon — Mr. and Mrs. George Akers, who will observe their 57th wedding anniversary on March 27, were honored at a family dinner party at the home of Mrs. Olive Fair and Miss Lena Schuler, co-hostesses, assisted by Mrs. Arthur Bradley, Akeley.
The couple were married in Cottage by. Rev. William Cal
houn, and have one son, Ralph Akers, Warren.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Akers are active in community affairs and have resided in Corydon over a long period of time.
