Dos líneas para reivindicar la mejor tradición del documentalismo fotográfico. La cámara de Verónica entiende la fotografía en la manera que muchos apreciamos. Imágenes directas, sin filtros ni filtraciones, mirada rápida , educada, sensible a la realidad del mundo y a la realidad de la fotografía. Acertados puntos de vista, de eso trata el medio, en sus encuadres va el contenido, la expresión del mundo con la escritura de la buena fotografía.

Para mí una buena foto es la que no te cansas de mirar, porque sientes que ella también te mira. La que dejas al pie de la cama mientras te duermes, sabiendo que quiere decir algo más, porque posee un incierto eco, profundo, que el mundo esconde.Las fotografías que siguen son imágenes tomadas en viajes a Cuba, Costa Rica, Mauritania, Egipto, Camboya, Vietnam, Estados Unidos y Europa entre los años 2007 y 2010.Es un libro de viajes, y a la vez la búsqueda de aquello que espera para mostrarse ante la cámara. La puerta a historias ajenas donde, sin embargo, siempre acabamos reconociéndonos. Es un intento de compartir experiencias íntimamente vividas, en viajes tan reales como imaginados.

For me a good photograph is one that you never get tired of looking at, because you feel that it also looks right back at you. The one that you leave at the bottom of your bed while you fall asleep, knowing that it means something else, because it has an uncertain deep echo of what the world hides. The photographs that follow are images taken on trips to Cuba, Costa Rica, Mauritania, Egypt, Cambodia, Vietnam, the United States and Europe between 2007 and 2010.It is a travel book but also a search of what is waiting for your camera. The door to other people’s stories where we always end up recognizing ourselves. An attempt to share intimately lived experiences, in trips that turned out as realas imagined.
