out of styleNOT ALLOWED• Leggings, tights or jeggings worn as outerwear.• Sagging or too tight shorts, pants or capris - clothing must be appropriate size for student. • Cargo or carpenter-style pants or shorts, and short skirts or shorts.• Leather, suede, vinyl, corduroy or denim materials except for jackets/coats in approved colors.• Caps, hats, do-rags, scarves, bandanas, shower caps or head coverings - except for verified medical or religious. • T-shirts unless designated school spirit day, college or principal approved.• Clothing that is too revealing (bare midriffs, tanks, cut-off or low-cut shirts, see-through or fish-net clothing)• Clothing with tears, holes, cuts or fraying ends.• Clothing with manufacturers logos larger than 1 1/2 inch square. Procedures regarding enforcement: Campus administrative staff will have complete and final judgment on all matters concerning interpretation of the dress guidelines. Items not covered specifically in the guidelines will be at the discretion of campus administration.

Required for all DeSoto ISD students in grades Pre-K through 8.

DHS students have more relaxed set of dress guidelines as of February 1, 2016.
