Dear God, We realize we are all just your farmers. Your truths are the seeds we sow. Through our prayers you send the rainfall, for this young seed of yours to grow. Through the sunshine, like the young plant we will grow and soon mature. Through the sweat and through the toil, We face the burdens we must bear. And when the harvest is all over and we've reached the final end, we'll be glad to go on home with you... Our Savior and our Friend. John14: 1-3, 14:27 14 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. 27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. In Memory Of Kenneth L. Anderson 1928 - 2018

His Funeral Service will be celebrated Thursday morning, November 1, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Emmanuel Free Lutheran Church in Williston. Rev. Jon Wellumson will officiate and interment will follow in the Bethel Cemetery South of Zahl, ND.

Kenneth was born June 14, 1928 in Williston, ND to Victor and Gelia Solberg Anderson. He was raised in the Zahl area, attended local country schools, and graduated from Zahl High School in 1946.

Ken was united in marriage to Gida Marie Henning on September 2, 1966. He cherished her, and together, they raised four children. Kenneth had a zest for life and a love for people. He enjoyed visiting with friends, never knew a stranger, and showed kindness to all. He trusted in the Lord and served his church in many ways. He enjoyed singing, a good basketball game, and was a lifelong Elks member. Kenneth was a farmer in Zahl for most of his life. In 1996, Ken and Gida moved to Williston where he enjoyed his weekly coffee club as well as the conveniences of living in town. In 2015, he and Gida moved to Bethel Lutheran Home where he constantly proclaimed how “good he had it.”

He is survived by his wife, Gida; their children John Charles (Allyson) McKay, Victorville, CA; Debra Jean Register, Minot, ND; Kathryn Lynn (Don) Petron, Liberty Township, OH; and Leslie Kay (Bryan) Stastny, East Grand Forks, MN; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; his sister Ruth (Willis) Gunlikson, Williston, ND; and his brother Jack (Melanie) Anderson, Rosemount, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Gelia Anderson, and one grandson, Grayson Stastny.
